I like the surroundings at Capstone Village. I like the location and the ambience. It's a beautiful facility, inside and out. It was bought out by the University of Alabama, they run it, and they take care of it. There are staff members everywhere. It is just a beautiful place to live. It's got many services like physical education, fitness training, and so on. In independent living, meals are not included, but in assisted living, they are. However, I can partake of the meals. They only serve lunch and dinner, and each meal is $12.

I highly recommend Capstone Village. It is a retirement community and we're in the independent living. For the amount of money that I'm paying here, I'm getting a lot for it. The staff is awesome. They very quickly know who you are and they're all very, very helpful. When I ate in the dining room, I was pleased. There's only one meal I didn't like, and that was the red beans and rice. My room is 1500 square feet. I've got two bedrooms, two baths, a small kitchen, an area that would normally be used as a dining room but I use it as an office (that's where I have my computer), and then a very large sitting room where I have the television. It's too big for me. They just switched over with landscapers. So, I'm 100% pleased with their work recently. They have a lot of activities. We are associated with OLLI. Their classes are held on the university campus, and there will be 4 to 6 weeks where somebody is talking about World War II or something like that. All of their classes are very interesting. There's always some kind of gathering here.

My grandmother was a resident at Capstone Village and it was a wonderful experience for her... and for our whole family. She lived independently, then moved to Assisted Living. The comfort of knowing how much she was cared for meant the world to us, especially my mom. We loved having delicious meals with her and joining in on some of the fun activities, too.

I have been a resident at Capstone Village Independent living for nearly a year. I have nothing but good things to say about Capstone Village. The staff is friendly, professional and attentive to requests. The food is excellent. The amenities and activities are numerous. Living on the University campus provides many opportunities for cultural social and sporting events

I have lived here almost 9 months. I am shocked by the negative reviews, as my experience has been completely positive. My apartment is awesome, and I have found the maintenance staff responsive whenever I needed something. I have not encountered a single rude or uncaring employee. The proximity to the UA campus provides access to an incredible array of enriching options, and the activities staff plan multiple activities every day. My husband and I investigated a number of other options both in and out of town. Capstone had the best variety of floor plans and the best pricing for comparable square footage. I have zero complaints.

My mother is in Capstone Village. Her experience is excellent. She has a one-bedroom, two-bath, a living room, and a den. The food is very good. Beautiful building with art and antiques and a caring staff. That is just excellent. And I wouldn't put a price, I'd send anybody there. They do all kinds of stuff with them every day, they have an activities director.
