"My husband is temporarily in Park Manor rehab right now after he fell. It's been about two weeks, and I know they're doing some rehab and managing his medications and things, but mostly he's there for his fall-related issues. The rehab part is to make his muscles stronger and for balancing. I've only talked to the staff on the phone because they won't let visitors in, and they've been very nice and courteous. You can drop something off, but you can't go in. It's a perfect location for us from where we live. He's happy there, and they have done very well with his cognitive issues. Usually, he doesn't function well if I'm not there in the room with him because of his not being able to comprehend or let his wishes be known. He's done very well during this period. Normally, he'd call me every fifteen or twenty minutes because he's scared or doesn't understand what's going on. They are very patient with him. With me never having been inside or actually in there to see their programs or anything like that, I can only give it maybe a "three" because if you don't see anything, you don't actually know what's happening. I just know through talking to some of the staff and from what he's told me."

"My sister is in Glen Haven Health & Rehab since early March. It was recommended by some people at the hospital, they reached out to her, and they seemed to be very conscientious. She did therapy for a while, and then she had to go back to the hospital and was in ICU for a while. She hasn't started the therapy up again since she has gone back, but I have confidence that she is getting good care. "

"Mom is at Heritage Residential Care Village. The facility is good. It's nice. It's not rundown or anything. It's kept up pretty good. The staff is friendly and they'll accompany anything you ask of them without complaint or hesitation. As most typical places do, they do bingo and they do other games. They have this game to play with pool noodles. So, they'll put tables together and knock the ball around. They also offer Sunday services. There's a chaplain there that comes around and asks for prayer. The food is good. It's above par. Their food was way better."

"My uncle is in rehab now at Heritage Health Care & Rehab. It's a great facility. The staff is very friendly. It's well kept. They're good with my uncle. He likes them. Tuscaloosa News had an article about them being the #2 facility in Alabama. He said the food's great. I was there one day and they served something that I know a lot of people don't eat, which is boiled okra. He's just been rehabbing right now and he's been trying to get his strength back, so he didn't have enough strength to make it to activities yet. He's in just a room that's temporary, so it only has a refrigerator and that's it. Cost-wise, this was the cheapest one I could find."
