"My friend moved to Pine Valley. I chose this place because of its location and word-of-mouth recommendation. The apartment is very nice, large, spacious, and well laid out. The upkeep is excellent. The food is very good. The common areas are excellent. They've got the widest selection of quite a bit of activities. I was very impressed."

"The Crossings at North River was very nice. I noted some safety features that I like. The units were nice. It's all brand new. The marketing director took me around. And every staff member we came across greeted us nicely."

"I like the surroundings at Capstone Village. I like the location and the ambience. It's a beautiful facility, inside and out. It was bought out by the University of Alabama, they run it, and they take care of it. There are staff members everywhere. It is just a beautiful place to live. It's got many services like physical education, fitness training, and so on. In independent living, meals are not included, but in assisted living, they are. However, I can partake of the meals. They only serve lunch and dinner, and each meal is $12."

"I have moved to the Regency Retirement Village - Tuscaloosa. It's a good place to live, they take good care of you. The staff is attentive to you and they listen to you. Most of the food is good, but it's a hit or miss. We have activities and games, we've got country rides and movies. I also used to live there a year ago. They've got an activity room, it's got a nice cafeteria, and it's got a nice sitting area when you first come in."
