Not sure where to start with all the great things I have to say. This facility was the perfect match for my mother. It is located in an excellent neighborhood that makes it extra homey. The grounds are beautiful. They have ducks and a beautiful pond. The suites have a kitchenettes and large bathrooms. We were able to decorate it to mother's taste. There is a beauty shop located at the facility. That is a godsend. Every meal looks and taste delicious. The staff have been so pleasant to work with and receive updates on mother's health. It gives us comfort and piece of mind we made the best choice for our mother.

North River Village was a very nice place. I liked the young lady that showed me around. I didn't have any negatives there, but it's a little further away and it's a little more expensive. They have a pond, and they could look out the window and there are ducks on the pond. I paid attention to that because that would be something my husband would have been interested in. They were still doing work on the rooms. I see no issues with the maintenance. A maintenance guy was working the day I was there and that was on a Saturday. The staff showed me the dining area, which was certainly plenty decent. They had rocking chairs on the front porch. The place was very neat and clean. Some of the rooms would have been sort of far away from the main area. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very knowledgeable. She was just really a nice person.

The location of North River Village was fantastic. The staff was outstanding and it's a user-friendly community. It's beautiful and they have a beautiful library. They play bingo, do some crafts like crocheting, knitting, and then exercises. Their menu looked like it had a great selection of food too, and any type of special diet or anything of that nature was available. They had a coffee bar and water available pretty much 24 hours a day, and a fantastic dining room.

I went to North River Village and I did not like the way they did the tour. When I called, they told me a certain price and what it covered. I got over there and it was completely different. The apartment was small, which I expected, but not as small as it was. They had nothing really. The staff told me meals and all utilities will be included and when I got over there, the power was not included and the meals were not included. It costs more than what they told me and it is not worth it. I just saw one person, the one that showed us the apartment. She was nice and friendly. It was clean.

We are in the market for assisted living for my mother. We visited the facility and felt very at home the minute we walked in the door. They just got new flooring and the building looks very nice. We really liked the fact that they don't charge extra for every little thing. We will likely choose North River Village in the near future.

I’m at North River Village. It’s very nice, very pleasant, and very efficient. I think the rooms are adequate. They have a variation of sizes of rooms. Some of the facilities here have 2 rooms; some have just one. Some have a screened porch; others do not, so it’s a variety so that a person could find what they prefer. They have a fitness center. I’d recommend that they come and take the tour to see the community, partake in the meal, and make their decision based on whether or not they want to be in a place that has the care levels arrangement.

North River Village was kind of nice. I never ate anything there, but the rooms just had too much space. I was looking for my mother, and I didn't particularly like it for her, and then later I visited a neighbor that was in there and that lady didn't like it. It was pleasant looking; the rooms were okay and the dining room was fine, but my friend, -- who was somewhat incapacitated -- said she wasn't comfortable there. It looked nice and spacious; it was clean and probably a little nicer than home.
