I just recently visited Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope to visit a friend. I was very impressed. My friend had moved there six months ago and was surprised yesterday by the visit. It's very nice. It felt more like it would be a home with bedrooms than a big facility with all these little apartments. It felt more like a home because it's only 24 units there. It's all just on one floor and very easy to get around from one place to the other inside the facility. They don't have to go very far for their meals, and they don't have to go off for the recreation. My friend said they keep her plate full with stuff to do. She doesn't do half of it because she doesn't have the energy (she's 96 years old), but she said she does take part in some of the things they do. I saw the calendar, and it's full with stuff. When we were there visiting her, two times somebody came in to check on her. 'Is everything OK? Do you need anything? And, oh, by the way, a piano player is coming at 11. We have a special visitor at 11:30.' My friend said, 'But I have my first special visitors with me now.' They had a piano player singing songs and everything when we were leaving. It's very clean. The person checked us and made sure we wore a mask. When we said who we were going to see, they knew right off that, 'Oh, yes, that's my sweetie.' My friend said it is like one big family there. It's very nice. She has a small unit, but it is set up where she can really move around in it. She has a wheelchair, and it looks like she can move around in it pretty easily. They come and clean, and they make her beds. She doesn't have to do any kind of housework or anything in there.

I toured Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope. The people there were all nice. The rooms were good size. I liked it; I just couldn't afford it. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. The facility itself was very nice and very clean.

We were able to go in and tour Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope. I like that they had cafeteria there in the building. They didn't have a pool that you could work in. I saw the rooms, and the one-room unit was small. The facility was small. The staff during the tour was just a security type person at the front door. She wasn't used to doing tours, but she did a very good job in showing us around and giving us information. She was friendly and informative. There were just some things she did not know because that was not her job. In comparison to the other place, there were not as many amenities. Everything was clean. There was no dust, and there were no stains on carpets. Everything was put away. Only what's supposed to be on the table was there.

We liked the fact that Country Place Senior Living Of Fairhope is a fairly small place. There are only 24 suites. We liked the administrator, Cecile, very much. I felt like she was doing a very good job representing the place. We liked the rooms too. They were adequate in size, very well kept, and it's close to us, just about ten minutes away. It had a family atmosphere about it, and we appreciated that. It's just their library is quite small and it doesn't have an adequate size and an adequate number of books, as well as their exercise area.

Country Place Senior Living Of Fairhope is a very small community. They only have about 23 or 24 people that live there. They seemed to be kind of close-knit like a family. The layout or floor plan was really nice, it was basically kind of a horseshoe shape (like a U), so it's easy to get to the dining room or whereever else you're going to go. The rooms were really nice, nicely decorated, and spacious. They seemed really nice, and I was impressed with the staff there. They play games and they take the residents on outings and things like that. However, they don't have as many things to do compared to other places, so that was the reason my mom didn't pick this one. They also don't really have a separate dining room, so the residents just sort of ear in the main lobby. There's just a few tables kind of right there in the main lobby.

Country Place Senior Living of Fairhope is clean and roomy, but what sold me on it was that it's not quite as fancy, and my mother is very simple and plain. The place is nice, but it's not so showy, so it's just more homey. I have looked at their weekly and monthly calendars, and they have activities available. I had one meal there, and it was fine; I think my mother is quite happy with the food. For breakfast, you can order what you want. Lunch is the big meal of the day, and dinner is a little smaller -- which is the way it should be for burning calories -- and I think they're pretty balanced.

Country Place was very nice. I vistied, ate there, met the director and it was very nice. I liked that it looks just the same with the Country Place we chose for my mother.

My quality of care is excellent. I've received a quick response for assistance when I have needed it. My dietary restrictions are met regularly. Daily activities (optional) include exercises, games, crafts, shopping trips, attendance to outside entertainment, and entertainment to us also.
