I understand that our original scheduled caregiver called out at the last-minute requiring us to find a replacement to accompany your mother to her appointment. Unfortunately, this caregiver did not drive, and we were grateful that you agreed to an Uber for transportation. I read additional notes on the one shift that we worked with your mother and agree that our caregiver was not well prepared nor suited for the shift. For this I offer my full apologies. We would be happy to offer you another shift at no cost. Please contact us so we can arrange the experience your mother deserves.

I want you to know that we have instituted a number of programs and incentives to help attract and train the best caregivers to Right at Home. A case in point, I just went downstairs to pour myself a cup of coffee and witnessed, Anna, your Client Care Coordinator working with a caregiver on their Hoyer lift skills at our skills lab in our Seattle office. Continuity of care is extremely important to us here at Right at Home. It allows our caregivers and clients to create a strong working relationship and reduces stress for clients, caregivers, and office staff. We have changed our policy recently and have partnered LYFT to have the best of both worlds. We now use LYFT services through Right at Home’s Concierge Transportation program to allow our state-licensed caregivers to accompany our clients in a LYFT vehicle for their appointments. Our goal is to make the lives of our clients easier and are disappointed as an organization when we fail to meet this standard. As it relates to your concern, it is unfortunate that you sent your review Anonymously. We pride ourselves on our communication and want to make sure our clients are comfortable contacting us at any time to address issues and concerns. We can be reached by phone. As the owner of the agency, I welcome direct feedback to me via email. In regards to our hiring process, all of our care staff, nurses and caregivers alike are licensed through the Washington State Department of Health, are vetted for their caregiving skills, and must pass an FBI Fingerprint Check and a Reference Check. If there are specific skills that you believe our staff is lacking, we invite our clients to communicate with our Client Care Coordinators and they can help direct care staff to fill in the gaps. We also have employed a Lead Caregiver who visits our clients and provides in-home support and guidance when needed. There are times when caregivers are unable to make it to their shift due to illness or personal emergencies, this can result in a client having multiple caregivers to fill shifts. There are times when caregivers are unable to make it to their shift due to illness or personal emergencies, however, we do have a protocol in place to contact the client and ask them if they would like a replacement caregiver. As the owner of the Seattle-Eastside office of Right at Home, I take full responsibility for any less-than-exceptional experience and apologize for any lack of satisfaction with our services. Having screened thousands of caregivers over the past 15 years, I take great pride in the fact that Right at Home hires only Washington State licensed care professionals. In addition to taking a state certification exam, our caregivers go through a rigorous screening process that includes personal interviews, as well as Washington State and FBI fingerprint background checks. We also conduct reference checks and require our staff to perform a skills verification test and an extensive orientation program. In regards to communication, you may not be aware that we have 24/7 access via phone through our Partnership with Contact 24, in addition to access to the cloud-based Family Room powered through ClearCare. We always follow up with our caregivers and client care coordinators to address service issues and work to develop a plan that ensures safety and skill competencies. Caregiver Training and Care Supervision

We provide initial caregiver training through our Right at Home University before they can provide care, and we provide ongoing training to support best care practices.
