Our experience with Griswold has just been very positive. They matched us up with somebody for my mom who was good for her. She's very warm and personable. She knows what she's doing. She does personal things for mom that mom cannot do. My mom is very happy with her. We're very pleased with their service. We've been with them for two years.

They did a decent job for my mother in-law. I think the biggest problem I had was that they were not able to find a good caregiver for the 2 hours that she needed. The caregiver that they provided for her was kind of pushy. She's not really the kind of caregiver that I wanted for her. By the time they were able to find a replacement, we only had a short time left with her after that.

I came across Griswold through Evergreen hospice. They had a list of home health care aides. Griswold was the first agency who answered their phone which was nice. They made an immediate appointment because I was very anxious to get going on and get some help. I like the fact that they have people from all over the country. The care was great. My father really enjoyed having them around specially on the last stage of his life. The overall experience was good. The drawback was that scheduling was always a chore. There was the potential for a lot of miscommunication with how scheduling was handled. We stayed with them the whole time. It's just that toward the end, I didn't get the chance to see who they had for end of life care but the person who was here for night time care ended up not being appropriate for end of life care. There was also some major miscommunication and some of it was my fault. It seems like their could have been a better way to organize everything. There had to be a more effective way of doing things. I really like them. It's just that we really had an issue with scheduling.

Somebody I had worked with had just used them for his father-in-law and highly recommended their service. They've been coming out to try and work with my mother. My mother is elderly, frail, stubborn and angry. She just makes it difficult for people to work with her. Griswold have been very accommodating in sending one caregiver whom my mom is finally cooperating with. She's a little bit older, a little bit stronger and more mature. That went on for a while and my mother again would just go and lock herself in the bathroom. I have to come home from work and it was just defeating the purpose. I kinda gave up on it and went back to the doctor. The doctor said to try one more time. So I called Griswold back and we will try a different approach after I sort a few things out. The first caregiver was very very caring. My mother is 85 years old and the caregiver was probably in her 20's. I think my mom discounter her a little bit by the age. She didn't need any reason. She feels that she doesn't need help although she does. The first caregiver was very creative in trying to get my mother to cooperate to get the things done. She was very kind and very patient. For the most part, she was really able to handle my mother but then my mother just stopped cooperating. The next girl was was very good also and she is able to get things done. She had a little trouble with her scheduling. I don't think she had a good scheduling system. She had other things she was doing like going to school and some other things. A couple of times there was a miscommunication with scheduling but other than that, she was just very thorough and good. Griswold had been very accommodating and they try to work with us. They only frustrations I'm having is with my mother and not with them. I'm very happy with them.

I think Griswold Home Care is great. The caregivers are very caring and concern. The first one we got, Edith, has been fabulous. The second one didn't work out so well, while the third one was pretty good. But I think they're very willing to work with us to find somebody that meets our needs.

I was looking on the internet for caregivers. I liked Griswold Home Care and what they can offer. I called them and they came to my home to talk to my husband and myself. I'm in a wheelchair and I have multiple sclerosis. And so we talked about what they could do, the hours, what I require, and what they could offer. The people that Ken sent out were excellent. I think they sent out probably four different ones. All the caregivers were experienced. They always sent me good people. I've been working with them since September. However, I don't know if they have enough people. I know that my caregiver ends up having to race out fast to go to another client every once in a while. Or maybe that's because my caregiver is so good, people want her.
