My father was in the hospital for five days, and then, the hospital gave us a list of providers. Comfort Care is owned and operated by Chesapeake General, and because I was happy with Chesapeake General, I went with Comfort Care. We have a nurse come out a couple of times a week. We also have a physical therapists two to three times per week. We also have somebody in the daytime a couple of times a week, so we are very happy. They do a great job, and they are very caring. I feel that they are really invested in my father's well-being. They communicate and work very well with us.

I never liked visiting nursing home, as they always made me very sad. However, this nursing home made me feel welcome, and actually help me feel less at home. They kept me in a positive spirit, and it made me think less about losing my grandmother someday. It's difficult visiting loved ones in a facility where you know they may end up spending the rest of their life, and among many other aging people, of whom you know are nearing the end of their life. The faculty always made a point to keep a positive attitude. Overall it was a great facility, however it often had a foul odor in the foyer. My grandmother's room never smelled though.
