Thank you for providing your feedback and letting us know about your concerns. We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. Over several months of service we have had some caregivers call out for personal reasons, which does happen. We understand this can be frustrating, and at those times we have made every effort to replace the caregiver, and reached out to you to inform you each time, so you had the option of cancelling that day. If you have concerns about a caregiver, it is very helpful for us to hear from you on that day with your specific feedback, so we can address the issue immediately with the individual, and correct their behavior. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with our business. Your happiness is our number one priority.

Thank you for your feedback. Consistency of caregiving has always been a focus of our efforts. There are some times and days that are more challenging than others in terms of coverage. Weekends indeed may introduce a challenge from the staffing prospective, especially when shifts are short. Sometimes when a client’s schedule changes frequently, consistent staffing becomes difficult to achieve. We at Right At Home are working very hard to improve the situation whenever possible, and truly appreciate clients maintaining a consistent schedule.

As the owner of Right at Home in Newton, MA I want to thank you for your feedback as we constantly seek to improve the quality of our services. While I can’t address the specifics of your reason for wanting to speak with me I am aware that the Director of Operations was in contact with you on multiple occasions to address your concerns. The caregivers are reference and background checked, oriented, trained, and supervised in your home. They however are not required to have a college degree. I agree that caregivers should be prompt, and unfortunately unforeseen events such as New England weather and illness may cause caregivers to call out. As you may be aware, we make every attempt to replace them. Even though we do our best to provide a qualified replacement with skills specific to your needs from the pool of available caregivers, this may not always be possible, especially upon short notice. We are sorry you got such an impression. Without knowing the specifics of your situation it will be difficult to address. We do provide consistent training to our caregivers, and if you think we missed on some aspects of it, we appreciate you contacting the office to discuss. As a general practice we do not schedule our caregivers for more than 40 hours weekly. We very well understand the challenges of caregiving as a career, and do our best to make sure our caregivers preserve their work-life balance.

To become an employee of our company one has to pass our professional test, successfully complete two interviews and be subjected to the background check. They have to demonstrate professional competency and a caring attitude. Challenges with the schedule may be triggered by various factors, including but not limited to severe weather conditions and a client’s schedule changes. Right at Home provides in-home caregiving services for thousands of families across the nation. We offer companionship and help with everyday tasks that have become challenging for an aging person. This may include things like meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, hygiene and grooming. We also offer services for those with special care situations caused by numerous medical conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Custom Care Plan
From the moment you call, we begin considering the specific needs of your loved one. We ask questions during the initial call or meeting to form a basic needs assessment. After discussing your particular situation, we will prepare an initial Custom Care Plan and then work with you to fine tune that Care Plan based on your loved one's specific needs. Once the plan is agreed upon, your local Right at Home team matches the right caregiver to implement the plan.
Caregiver Training and Care Supervision
Every Right at Home caregiver goes through an extensive interview process, including background checks. Once hired, caregivers are trained through Right at Home University to ensure that they're able to deliver the care set out in your loved one's Custom Care Plan. Before providing care, they're bonded and insured.
