The concept of HomeCarebyDesign is great-having so many types of services under one umbrella. Unfortunately, it is run in a terrible manner. We had multiple issues with no shows and late arrivals. No one would call from the "office" to notify. Our first caregiver was great but when she couldn't be there for some reason, the attempts to cover her shift was terrible. We even had one caregiver talking her opinions regarding politics and abortions. Very unprofessional but I know HomeCarebyDesign doesn't pay them very well at all. During the initial sales call, everything was asked was "no problem." Once we were under contract, the main issue we talked about became a problem. There were suggestions made over the phone regarding billing for long term care. When I asked for it to be put in writing, it wasn't. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company.

In Home Care by Design must be desperate for customers! Our family used their service about 2 years ago to assist with the care of our elderly father. In summary, the level of care was horrible and not at all what it was advertised to be. Upon ending the service, we clearly communicated our concerns and frustration with the lack of care and professionalism. However, we keep getting sales calls. We have asked them to take us off of the list but we keep getting calls?! This is very frustrating and upsetting. We are tired of being reminded of this horrible experience.

Homecare By Design is very unprofessional and undependable. We were sold on one type of service and actually got something totally different. The caregivers are not as professional and trained as we were led to believe. One evening a caregiver did not show up and there was no phone call. As a result, that evening our dad did not get his medications or dinner. In 20 days with them, dad had 16 different caregivers. If consistency and continuity are important, avoid Homecare By Design. We would NOT recommend this service provider.
