"My husband was at St. Anthony Health Care for 3 weeks, and they seem to do a good job for this rehab. They were understanding of his problems at the time. I understand it wasn't so great a couple of months with Covid. They were pretty good, the only problem was that sometimes it took a while to get help for him. I thought the rooms were pretty nice, including the one that he was in. It was a room for 2 but he was in there by himself. So for 1 person, it was pretty nice. It was okay, the hallways were spacious and they had a nice dining room area. The staff was wonderful and the food was pretty good. Medicare was paying for it, I really don't know how much we were spending everyday because we never got a bill."

"Sept 2012: We admitted my mother to St. Mary's Healthcare in her final weeks of life after she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Our family's time in this facility was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Mom was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and superior health care. Every person in this facility including the Business Manager, Director, Marketing Director, Nurses and LPN's are now considered family and were my angels from heaven. What my family noticed and raved about is everyone we encountered loves what they do. This wasn't a place to just pick up a paycheck for them and actions definitely speak louder than words. Every one of them made a point to stop by the room or stop me in the halls to see how we were, give hugs and cry with us as they truly get close to every resident and family. They made my Mom feel comfortable and won her respect in the first 5 minutes she was there and that wasn't an easy thing to do. The resident/staff ratio was great and allowed them to spend quality time with Mom. She never experienced bed sores. They were very proactive in her pain management and care and were in constant communication with her doctor when needed. I was there every day with visitors and other family members stopping by so the staff put together a daily tray of drinks, snacks and fruits for us. This facility seemed more like a hotel to me - the pictures on their website need to be updated as this facility has been renovated and is beautiful. The staff and I laughed about retiring there ourselves. The residents always seemed happy and active. I watched my mother, the person who raised me, pass away before my eyes of cancer. This was one of the hardest and most life changing events I've experienced but I can't thank the staff and facilities at St. Mary Healthcare for making this an amazing experience of love and dignity. "

"We visited The Springs at Lafayette, and to my understanding they do Medicaid waivers, but they don't have any independent living. It was brand new when we toured it, so it was lovely. The rooms in the hallway area seemed a little sterile though, and it looked a little more like a nursing home to us. I think that's what my mom didn't like about it at that time. However, it's a beautiful place, and the staff was very caring."

"My sister placed mom in the Milner Community Health Care Center. We looked it up online, and it was ranked 4.9 over 5 in caregiving, and we thought that looked pretty good. They had a lot of activities for her to do, and she gets out of quarantine on Thursday, and she'll get a roommate. They have FaceTime, all the TVs in the rooms have where you could call the nursing home, and they will hook her up to the TV, and we can actually FaceTime her and talk to her. It's like having face visits, 'cause window visits were OK, but it's hard to look through the window and talk, and she can't hear that well, but she enjoys having FaceTime. They have a wing for quarantining, they test her, and they make sure she doesn't have the virus, and she gets into the regular community, and gets to talk to people. My sister said it's very clean, the people are friendly, and they treat the residents nice, so she was overly impressed with it. They have a sunroom area that they disinfect after each visit, two people can go in at a time and talk to her, after 20 minutes the visiting is up, and they disinfect it for the next family coming in. They feed her her meals, and make sure she's taking her medicines."

"My mom moved into Creasy Springs Health Campus. Everyone has been supportive to us, helping to get mom placed there. Every time I'm on the phone with my mom, someone is doing something helpful, caring to her, making her feel comfortable and welcomed. She's made more friends there. Even with the restrictions with COVID, the staff has just done so many things to make things feel like home and comfortable. We've all been there at different stages, and we've gotten to know the staff. We believe her life was saved by being there. She started choking one day. We didn't realize that she was having an issue with her throat. They got her right to the hospital, and they had to perform a procedure to clear the passageway. If she had still been home alone, she would have died. So they had a really quick response for knowing an emergency. She's had all kinds of things there. She's been very pleased with the medical staff, as well as just all the support and life enrichment people. I have eaten there, and I've gotten a response back from mom. That's the only thing that needs some improvement. They do have a new chef, and he's trying. Thankfully, she was in there before they kind of shut some things down. So those were wonderful when people came in and did different things. But even now, the staff is doing some great things for them. They have very high caliber staff and abilities."

"My mom has been living at Signature HealthCARE for almost a year now. The administrative staff is very friendly and very helpful. However, we have found that they don't seem to have enough nurses and aides to really go around. We are not entirely satisfied with my mom's care there. They're very friendly, but it is just we don't feel there's enough people working there. The rooms are very typical nursing home rooms. There are usually two residents to a room. Each has a bed, a night stand, half of the closet, and a place to put a TV if they have one. They have a decent amount of activities too. I know they do crafts, they bring in animals to visit the residents, and they can also provide transportation to doctor's appointments and to the store, though I don't know how often they do that. The dining room is very beautiful. It is big and open with lots of tables and a whole lot of windows, which makes it very bright. They also have a lady who comes and plays piano, which my mom really enjoys. "

"My mother stayed at Mulberry Community Health Services for a while for rehab right out of the hospital. He stayed there for 20 days. It's a real nice facility. The staff was well mannered, real nice, and friendly. However, she said by the time she got the food, it was cold. She just had physical therapy there, but they had puzzles and a game room too."

"There's a lot of noise here in Green-Hill Manor and I don't care for that, but the people that work here are nice and friendly. The facility is also very nice. They keep it clean. The food is just not up to the quality that I've been used to. There's a smoking area and bingo games, but that's about it."
