Horrible experience this time on the rehab wing,they let my pain meds run out,told staff my bladder n left kidney were really hurting(I've had kidney failure twice,I suffer from chronic kidney disease)requested an ambulance they denied me told me to calm down there was nothing wrong they done blood work and a urine test came back positive for a urinary tract infection n bladder infection,my husband had to empty my trash strip my bed n put clean sheets on it for me,had a male aide that was drunk and he touched me inappropriately one nite this place needs shut down Pray I NEVER have to come back here

This is the worst nursing home in West Lafayette, IN. My father died because of them. I'm not joking either. They missed his Dr. appts., didn't check his insulin for a month. Neglected to bath him. Made up reason why he hadn't participated in rehab when he was participating. I observed how their rehab is done. The rehab person watches TV while she is suppose to be helping my father, what a JOKE! They never updated me on his condition because they hadn't marked on their sheet that I had power of atty, etc. Many numerous mistakes due to the fact that they just don't care. It's more about getting your money. I wrote a 5 page letter to the state and they basically said they found nothing, right!!! YES, I could have gotten an attorney and sued them but I was dealing with my father's death and I honestly couldn't handle anymore from Heriage Healthcare. They should be shut down!!! I've also talked to other friends who have had their parents at Heritage and they all say it's a horrible nursing home. You would think the State would care but they honestl;y don't care cause they are getting their money as well. GREEDY!!!
