"My sister placed mom in the Milner Community Health Care Center. We looked it up online, and it was ranked 4.9 over 5 in caregiving, and we thought that looked pretty good. They had a lot of activities for her to do, and she gets out of quarantine on Thursday, and she'll get a roommate. They have FaceTime, all the TVs in the rooms have where you could call the nursing home, and they will hook her up to the TV, and we can actually FaceTime her and talk to her. It's like having face visits, 'cause window visits were OK, but it's hard to look through the window and talk, and she can't hear that well, but she enjoys having FaceTime. They have a wing for quarantining, they test her, and they make sure she doesn't have the virus, and she gets into the regular community, and gets to talk to people. My sister said it's very clean, the people are friendly, and they treat the residents nice, so she was overly impressed with it. They have a sunroom area that they disinfect after each visit, two people can go in at a time and talk to her, after 20 minutes the visiting is up, and they disinfect it for the next family coming in. They feed her her meals, and make sure she's taking her medicines."

"Homewood Health Campus was nice, but we didn't go with them because the rooms were just basically a hospital room instead of an apartment. The bathrooms had no vanity or storage for them to put makeup on or something, and the bedroom is not separate from the living space. But they have very nice facilities, and the place looked very nice. They showed us all the different activities going on. They sent us home with food. The lady who took us on the tour was very helpful."

"They have 2 units for patients with dementia. One is for those who wander and is a locked unit. The other is for those who can no longer walk. The staff is exceptionally caring and form relationships with each patient. No place is perfect, but I would feel very safe placing a loved one there. I work for a hospice and have visited many patients there on a weekly basis. "

"My wife has been using the facility as an outpatient since the middle of November 2023. She had a stroke caused by bleeding on the brain. She had no physical problems but she lost her ability to speak and form sentences. She started both speech and occupational therapy at this time. She goes 3 hours a week to SP and 2 hours to OP. We have been very pleased with both the speech therapist, Jennifer, and the occupational therapist, Morgan, during this time. Then an issue arrived in early February where they lost access to the web. This was not just at this location but company wide. I don’t know what the problem really is but it’s a little ridiculous that it is still going on for over two weeks. The company needs to step up and get it fixed. Without the use of the web it has been very challenging for the therapist to come up with beneficial ways to continue to help my wife in her rehab. PLEASE GET THIS FIXED."

"I visited this facility daily to be with my father. Excellent, caring staff. Food was terrific. Extra activities to involve patients and family. Therapists, especially occupational therapists, were incredibly involved with patients and family. "

"My mother is a resident of The Springs at Lafayette. The staff is wonderful. My mom, the first evening that she was there, was so cute. She was there for dinner, she took one bite of the food and she said, "Oh, this tastes so good." Then she had the coffee and she said, "Oh, this coffee tastes wonderful." You could tell that the food wasn't very good, and the coffee was horrible where she came from. They have so many different activities. They give you a monthly calendar. On Friday evenings, they have some entertainment that comes in, and then the residents can have a glass of wine or a cocktail to have during that activity. It's just nice. The rooms are very nice, and they have what's called an activity cart that comes around every other day. They have books on it, homemade snacks, and they have silly things like the big glasses. The residents can pick things off in the cart, and word puzzles too. To check-in, you have a QR code on your phone, and everything's electronic for check-in. So, checking in is so easy, you don't have to wait for staff to come to the desk. You just pull up your QR code to this like an iPad and then put your face on it and you're good to go for check-in. There's plenty of parking whenever you come to visit. I just can't say enough, it's nice. The most important part is my mom is very happy. The dining room looks like a restaurant. The staff is so nice and friendly and helpful; they already know me by name. You get what you paid for. They allow children to come to visit. It is wonderful for the residents to be able to have children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren visit and keep their spirits. It's right across from Colombian Park, so you can go over there and have a picnic. Their courtyard is beautiful."

"I was at St. Anthony for two weeks. It was great. It is an old nursing home. Everybody that works there enjoys working there. It is a good facility. It is a friendly facility. I used their physical therapy. They had an inpatient occupational therapy. The facility is older; it is not a big, fancy place, but it is clean and neat. Like I said, all the nurses enjoy working there. Their attitude was good, and everybody was extremely friendly. In the occupational therapy, same way: They were extremely nice and friendly. It is a good facility. It was a good experience. "

"My mom has been living at Signature HealthCARE for almost a year now. The administrative staff is very friendly and very helpful. However, we have found that they don't seem to have enough nurses and aides to really go around. We are not entirely satisfied with my mom's care there. They're very friendly, but it is just we don't feel there's enough people working there. The rooms are very typical nursing home rooms. There are usually two residents to a room. Each has a bed, a night stand, half of the closet, and a place to put a TV if they have one. They have a decent amount of activities too. I know they do crafts, they bring in animals to visit the residents, and they can also provide transportation to doctor's appointments and to the store, though I don't know how often they do that. The dining room is very beautiful. It is big and open with lots of tables and a whole lot of windows, which makes it very bright. They also have a lady who comes and plays piano, which my mom really enjoys. "

"We were satisfied with the care that my mom received from St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center. It was not a very big facility, so we felt she was safe and secure. The staff were awesome and caring. "

"Horrible experience this time on the rehab wing,they let my pain meds run out,told staff my bladder n left kidney were really hurting(I've had kidney failure twice,I suffer from chronic kidney disease)requested an ambulance they denied me told me to calm down there was nothing wrong they done blood work and a urine test came back positive for a urinary tract infection n bladder infection,my husband had to empty my trash strip my bed n put clean sheets on it for me,had a male aide that was drunk and he touched me inappropriately one nite this place needs shut down Pray I NEVER have to come back here"

"My mother is in Wellbrooke of Kokomo for rehab. She loves it there. They're wonderful. They're very nice to her, they take care, and encourage her with her physical therapy. She's doing really well with them and they make her feel at home."
