The care givers came every morning 6 days a week and helped my husband get up in the morning, took him to the bathroom where they helped him change his disposable shorts (he is incontinent) and get dressed. Two days a week they gave him a shower. After getting dressed they took him to his chair where they gave him breakfast. They also helped him with physical therapy exercises and they were very kind in speaking with him and listening to all he has to converse about. They arrived on time every day. They were kind to me too and helped me when I needed help. Whenever I call the agency they are kind and always listen to what I say. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone who asks me

<p></p>
Every person we treat has a different idea of what care means for them. So our care teams provide specialized services that give you the right care at the right time to meet your specific health goals. This can range from assistance with daily activities to providing in-home skilled care and support for families and caregivers when it matters most. But whatever it means for you, we’re committed to working with you and your family members to provide the best care possible.
<p></p>
If you or a loved one is finding it difficult to maintain the activities of daily life, we can help. Our professional caregivers provide customized, personal care — from short-term to 24-hour assistance — for older adults in the safe, comfortable surroundings of their own homes.
<p></p>
As we age, many of us prefer to remain in our own homes, even as our physical or cognitive abilities decline. For those who are dealing with restrictive health issues, dementia or physical limitations, our caregivers can help. We understand the challenges of aging and know how to improve the lives of older adults through attentive, personal care. Studies show that people’s health and their environment are connected. In addition to medication reminders and helping you move safely, we also help keep homes tidy and offer other services as needed.

I’m using HomeCare.com. It’s fine. They’re very good and very responsive to any concerns I have, and they’ve provided me with a good health care aide, not great necessarily, but good. They also provide light housekeeping, they help me clean myself up, and they take me to my appointment. They get here within a certain time window between 7 and 7:30, and that’s when I need them here. A lot of times my communication is directly with the aides. If she can’t come on a certain day, the agency would contact me to see whether I need some assistance or need somebody to fill me in on a given day. I think I’m paying more than I probably should because they have a mandatory number of days that I can contract for, and that’s probably more than I usually need. To maintain the contract, I have to keep them on a certain number of days.

Determining Your Loved One’s Need for In-Home Care
Aging can be a difficult process, and loved ones may not always ask for help – often times it’s up to their family to evaluate their need for help around the house. While no two situations are exactly alike, this checklist can help you and your loved ones determine when it’s time to start the search for a home care provider.
Guidelines for Talking About In-Home Care
If you’ve determined that your loved one needs the assistance of a care provider in their home, it may be time for a difficult conversation. Handled correctly, however, this process can bring a family together and ensure that everyone’s concerns are addressed. Use this PDF as a starting point to help the conversation stay as positive and productive as possible.
