"I found Solstice Senior Living at Las Cruces to be very clean. I found the staff to be very courteous. I found the environment to be positive, but I'm not mentally and physically ready for that type of care. I'm more independent than that at this point in my life. Perhaps five years from now, it will be more suitable for me. I found the environment to be bright as opposed to depressing. The apartment is adequate, except you can't do your own cooking, per se. I enjoy cooking, but it requires a certain level of cleanliness."

"My brother-in-law has chosen and is currently living in Good Samaritan Society Las Cruces Village. So far, it's going very well. He's adjusting well. They seem to provide for all his needs. It's very pleasant. It's a campus-like environment, so there are walkways around between buildings. There are lots of amenities, things for him to do, and services that are provided, that sort of thing. So it's quite nice. My brother-in-law has a one-bedroom apartment. It has a living room, an eating area, a kitchen, a nice-sized bedroom with a large closet, and a nice bath with a very large walk-in shower. He also has a patio outside. Regarding food, he is charged by the meal. So if he doesn't eat, he's not charged. He seems quite pleased with the food. The staff has been very accommodating. And regarding value for money, it's quite reasonable compared to other places, and it's certainly quite reasonable compared to where he is coming from, which is the Bay Area of California."

"We toured The Village at Northrise. It was a good impression. The fees we were considering were the cost and whether she could afford them. The upkeep of the place was very good. The director of the place was excellent at providing us with all the necessary information and was very accommodating. They have a lot of activities. They have an activity room to play cards, read, and watch movies. They have a movie theater. Another thing I liked was that there was a beauty shop for my mom. They have outings. They go to dinner once a month, and then every week, they can go to Walmart."
