Adult Day Care Communities in Las Cruces, NM

"My wife has been in Heritage Assisted Living for two years now. I was at the Heritage a day when an ambulance came to pick somebody up, and the ambulance driver said this is the best place in Las Cruces. What is good about it is that it is less institutional and much more personal. There are three houses. In each house, there are 12 residents with a staff in each house, and the staff is very cooperative and supportive of the people that are there. Holding staff is difficult in any of these situations, but the basic staff that has been there for the two years I've known them is excellent. I would rate the food no higher than a 3. To my mind and taste, I don't think the quality was what it should be. There are no activities. I think they take an occasional trip someplace, maybe two or three times a year. She's done a couple of them, but to my mind, the biggest fault with the place is the lack of activities. Her room is excellent and the building itself has been well thought out and it's really a very pleasant place to be in. We came down here from New York and the price here is half of what it would be in New York."
