Evanston CareNow Home Care provides exceptional care to Cook, Lake and DuPage county older adults seeking help at home. The founder/owner is an advanced nurse practitioner who is dedicated and committed to providing compassionate non-medical care. Evanston CareNow Home Care is honored to partner with VA as a VA Community Care Network provider to provide in-home care to our WW2, Korean and Vietnam Veterans at no cost to the veteran. Care hours range from a minimum 6 hours to 24 hours a day. Help at home can be both short term or long term —post hospitalization, discharge from rehabilitation facility post surgery. All services are invoiced in advance of start of care. Our services include: Alzheimer’s/Parkinson care Dressing/Grooming Light housekeeping/Laundry Special diets meal planning/serving Feeding assistance: food/fluid texture special consideration Ambulation/Transfer Blood pressure/blood glucose/oxygen level recordkeeping Medication reminder Incontinence Care: absorbent pads/protective bed liner restocking supplies/monitoring daily bowel movements Toileting assistance: personal care+personal hygiene Safe transfer Assistance: Mechanical Lift and chair lift Leisure and Strengthening walking Encouragement with routine exercises Shopping errands (using caregiver car or client’s car) Empty and Clean: urinary and ostomy bags Overnight care: decreasing falls and bathroom assistance Building escort: to calendar events T. D/Jobst Compression stocking assistance Close observation: observe for change in conditions to report care team lead Wellness visits includes: Review daily calendar for activity, events and appointments. Mail pick up Linen change/Bed making. Trash/Recyclable collection removal. Companion Care: movies/FaceTime with family/ NY Times crossword puzzle/card playing Clean and Organize: Refrigerator/ Linen+clothing closets/kitchen+Bathroom cabinets.
