I am a past client of this provider

Management style of Bristol Hospice is certainly the least to be desired. Tamara B., supervisor of the nurses, is a vindictive person who does not listen to both sides of a incident before making a decision. She takes sides of their employee and this is a bad Management style that will drag the business into failure. Shaun, a nurse practioner, lectured me on the purposes of hospice. Something that a person to come in your house to scold you because Bristol does not like you to take your parent with covid to get the REM100 covid antiviral IV at Kaiser ER because mom can not take or swallow the pfizer pills for covid. Mom was bed ridden with a high fever, could not stand, would not eat, and basically left to let the covid overwhelm her body. I took her ER and urgent care to get the IV and soon after her symptoms went away. I complained to Carol M. and she forwarded me to Chris who was Shaun's supervisor and basically re-lectured me on the Hospice. I never yelled or swore at Chris, and was very calm with her. Not achieving the goal of the complaint, CAROL switched me to Tamara B. She was better, but still nothing was done. 2 days later Jamie A. social worker showed up at my house, and she asked to speak to about the incident with Shaun. After the meeting, Jamie asked me to sign her Ipad, and I asked why I had to sign it. She said there was a client behavior standard that was made up for my behavior when I complained about Shaun. Surprised by the action of signing something I supposed to agree on WITHOUT being offered to read it first. This is totally Unethical action on the part of Jamie A., I asked to read it, reluctantly she let me read it. I DID NOT AGREE TO THE Behavior statement but signed it after reading it. Carol M. told me to contact my case Manager, RN Maricel if any issue or any more communication was needed. I had a talk with Tamara B., the next day voicing my concerns and she restated the harassment, yelling, and swearing of thr behavior contract. This same day, I contacted Maricel, case manager and requested her to contact Tamara about requesting a written apology from Shaun and Jamie. I texted Maricel 4 times to voice my concerns, since she did not answer her phone. Soon after Maricel called my cell phone, asked what I requested.and I told her I sent you a text asking for written apology. She said she was going to call Tamara and talk to her about it. Soon after I got a phone call from Tamara saying I was harassing Maricel with my texts, and now I violated the terms of the behavior contract and My mom will be discharged from Bristol Hospice. IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED UNFAIRLY BY Bristol Hospice, then go with Bristol Hospice, choose another Hospice company. AVOID Bristol Hospice

Excellent company with wonderful and caring employees. We were initially uncertain when we were referred to them by our doctor. But after calling and interviewing with them, they showed us they were well organized and trained to help us take care of our Dad's last wish to die at home. With less than a few hours notice, they arranged to have our Dad taken from the Hospital/Nursing home and transported to his house where their hospital bed and equipment were set up just before arrived. They also arranged to have medicine/medications ready for pick up at a pharmacy and we had a nurse come by and visit us that night and for the next two days to provide instructions on how to use the equipment, administer medication, and provide comforting words. We were impressed with the speed that they got our Dad home and he rested peacefully before passing away in his home (his last wish).
