"My friend is staying at the Arcadia Retirement Residence. It is quite expensive. It's more like an apartment building in downtown Honolulu. They have a parking lot and allow cars. Most of the people who are there seem happy to be there. They have an unfurnished apartment, and then people bring their own furniture and decorate it. It's a nice thing to have it look like home. On each floor they have a gathering area where guests could maybe have a glass of wine before dinner or meet there as a group. The people say the food is really good. The doormen are very nice, attentive, and help our friend. It's really a very nice place to be. The room that we saw was like a regular apartment, except it didn't have a full kitchen. It's a really nice building and well-maintained. They have a group coming to play music for them. They have something going on most of the time."
