"My mom is in Pearl City after surgery for short-term rehab. She likes it there. She gets physical therapy, occupational therapy, and medications. The place is really clean. They have Bingo and gardening. The staff is very good and they assist her all the time. The physical therapist is good, too. There is no area outside for residents to enjoy, just the sidewalk. "

"My mother is going to Waipahu Hongwanji Mission Adult Day Care Center. The activities are good. They exercise, they have shows, and they have them do puzzles. The staff is nice, friendly, and very helpful. It's clean and nice and I have no problems with it. They have one big area for church or recreation. Since she's been there, her appetite has improved from before. The interaction and just being around more people helped her."

"It's been a very good experience sending my aunt to Arcadia Adult Day Care & Day Health Center at Central Union Church. It's a big room with showers and bathrooms and tables and chairs for activities and meals. The staff is very kind and patient, and I am very grateful for their willingness to help my aunt. The nurses are attentive, too. They offer showers, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They do different things every day like bingo, singing, walking, and exercises. Two meals are free, and then you can pay for the extra meal if your relative stays that long. Drop-off is at 7:30 A.M. and pick-up can be at 5:30 P.M. My aunt is on G-tube and they provide that service also. We're getting what we're paying for."

"Aloha Nursing & Rehab Center was very nice. It's first-class, but it's expensive. The staff is excellent and so gracious. I was very impressed. They have support services there which I think is excellent service to offer the community. I was thinking of joining them there. It's for caregiving support. "

"My father is in rehab right now at Palolo Chinese Home. It's a nice, clean, quiet facility. The staff is attentive and communicative. They say they have activities, but I don't know because we don't get to observe because of COVID. They have bingo and crafts."

"I am writing this letter as a referral to others who may consider sending someone to a Senior Day Care. I moved my mother to another Senior Day Care called Elders Elite and was very pleased on how that Senior Day Care is runned. The most important thing was my mother was in a safe & caring environment enjoying her daily activities that kept her mind and body active. I would highly recommend Elders Elite. "

"My mom is already attending Windward Seniors Day Care Hope Center. It's a really great place. The staff is very caring, and they're the highlight of the place. They do exercise, games, singing, bring in people to entertain, have arts and crafts, and go on excursions. My mom enjoys it. They bring in food which I heard is not the greatest, but then I don't expect the food to be outstanding considering that the cost is so low. For what they do, the price is reasonable."

"The staff is very friendly. The environment is warm and like an actual home. The furniture is clean and practically new. The facility is kept clean and sterile. The medical assistance provided is of the utmost quality. The facility is spacious and there are many windows everywhere. There seems to be a huge staff that is consistently attentive to the residents of the home. The residents are comfortable and happy. The food is of very good quality and there are many volunteers of the facility. Children and school students visit quite often to entertain or engage in conversation. The bill for the home is of a reasonable amount. The home is however, quote out of reach to those who do not live in that town on that side of the island. The residents also do not get out of the home enough. There should be more outings available for the residents. "
