If the clinical staff was more organized it would have had a more positive experience. I didn't know who was coming or when. It was a bit disorganized and seemed to be patched together. There was a disconnect because it didn't seem like there was thought about matching caregivers.

The CNAs help to sweep and mop the floors, but I have to ask them to clean the toilets and showers. That should be automatic, and I shouldn't have to ask them. On the first day, they should know what to do so that I do not have to be tied up with CNA. BrightStar Care allows freedom for me to go get groceries, go to the hardware store to do repairs on the house, and get medications for my mother.

It allows me to work. I can do other things that I wouldn't be able to do. They need to be more attentive and cautious especially during the pandemic. They need to get their nurses tested. Our nurses aren't even in line to get the vaccine. They need to make sure the nurses are going to bring any sickness into the workplace.

A lot of the caregivers BrightStar Care sent out haven't been a good fit for my mom. The caregiver that is out there now is good, but she oversteps her job description sometimes. Other caregivers don't speak English well. They also schedule people, and then they don't show up. Someone is there to make sure that Mary gets up, eats, and takes her pills. It makes it so that I don't have to worry about her while I'm at work.

We had many girls come by from Brightstar Care, but there's one that is of great help to my husband. She was knowledgeable. My daughter really likes her. Overall, the experience was satisfactory even though they haven't sent a nurse quarterly for evaluation.
