They help the most by providing supervision and meals. I would recommend Brightstar because the communication is good, the care plan was set up appropriately, there was a lot of one-on-one contact, and we were matched with a great caregiver.

They don't have a lot of motivation to do things and get going themselves. The former owner I knew them and I knew someone else in the management, so I could get things done quickly.

The care is only for two days a week for a few hours of care. I understand that things happen when people are not available, but BrightStar Care has been responsive when I do have issues. BrightStar Care could match the caregiver better to the client, but I like that they are responsive.

It brought her spirits up. Someone is there to talk to her, and it's hard for us to get there sometimes. They talk to her, and they take pictures. They have given her the will to live again. It's given us the relief that someone is taking care of my mom. We get a good night's sleep knowing mom is being taken care of.

My mother was pretty satisfied with most of the caregivers, but there was one that she didn't care for at all. My mother has dementia, so sometimes that was a bit to deal with. One thing that was a bit of a hassle was the way they had to set up the payment plan. There was an invoice that I had to send in weekly, and it would have made more sense to pay monthly.

The caregiver we have is absolutely outstanding. Her impact has been wonderful. She has been a therapist and a caregiver for us. I like that they provided an excellent caregiver. They are also available if I have any questions. They have high standards for their caregivers.

Some caregivers would ask if there was more they could do, but others would just play on their phones. They helped, but they never gave us the same girl. Every time we turned around there was a different person.

They were only able to send us about 15 hours of services because of the staffing issues. We wanted 15 hours every week. It wasn't a good experience from the staffing point. We needed to have someone come.

He doesn't like having to be helped. It made my life easier because they would straighten up and take things off my plate so I could focus on being with my dad. They do their best to match the caregivers to the client.

It's been sporadic service for transports to and from the hospital. I have found that the aides who work with my mom are very good and knowledgeable.

We have had some issues with people coming in without masks and not washing their hands when they arrive. That's not everybody, just a few. In the past things have not gone well. I am not sure if the communication and scheduling is going to continue.

When I needed overnight care after an operation we asked them to be here because they don't have overnight care at the facility. I just needed with help with certain things and we didn't have a lot of time before I came here so we hired them and when we had them I really liked them.

It was completely stressful and hard to work with them. I chose not to have people like them in my life. The company and the woman running was not good. The lady that owned has no education and sent out nurses that had no training to me to work with my portacast and they said they had to come out or else they would of been fired. It was very negligent of her and she had a poor attitude with me.

They helped her go to the bathroom, get dressed, and made sure she stayed on her oxygen. They were recommended when my mother first went into the care facility and I hired them on a suggestion and it worked out fine and when my mother went into hospice they offered around the clock supervision.

It's convenient. It's easy when you get the medicine at your house instead of at the hospital. Having a great staff come into my house is helpful. I like the nurse who comes to my house. We have a great relationship. Their nursing is awesome.

My mom has dementia, and we realized we needed more help with care. I am the only daughter, so I did a lot of the care. I am able to be a daughter again and just visit my mom. They could be more proactive. I feel like I have to do a lot of follow up for them. I don't want to have to chase them down.

I have respite care, and the first girl that they sent had eleven years of experience as a certified nurse assistant. I started with someone who had experience, and the girls after were substandard. When you have an elderly dementia patient who went from mild to severe, you don't send a new trainee. I think they need to find better-trained personnel.

When they were in the facility, it was great, but when we moved back home, that is when we had troubles with the caregivers and with the office. I really appreciated the lady who came to help out my grandma, but then we had a missed shift and that was hard for my grandma.

It’s been almost a month since my husband of 57 years died and the memory of his passing will always stay with me. The experience of helping a loved one pass on should always be what I experienced. Peaceful, painless, loving and surrounded by those he loved and who loved him. This would not have been possible without the staff from BrightStar. Starting with Heidi - as a most trusted advisor – experienced in coordinating with Hospice providers. The nurses who worked through a ‘plan of care’. Plan of care reads like it’s a routine, but with those who came it felt far from routine. It was a plan for my husband’s dying moments and was so smooth and caring that it was as if I and my family were ‘alone’ with Ron. When he was lucid, he whispered that he ‘liked Latoya and Mio’. From a man who hated company, this was so welcomed. They treated him with respect and dignity, and they supported us as if they were angles on our shoulders. Because of them he was able to die where he lived... and loved and was loved. Thank you all.....

I had a broken hip and they were here to help me with that. They were here from 9 at night to 9 in the morning. They were very agreeable and always on time. They were very nice. I miss having them here.

They were very helpful because it was tough for me and my sister to get there. They were able to arrange transportation and that was a huge relief for us. They were very attentive to her needs and very good about communicating with me and my sister. We were all working together to care for my aunt. They were good about keeping us up-to-date about what they found on a daily basis. They would arrange transportation for her as well.

I was able to go home for a couple of days. It gave me a little bit of a break because someone was there 24/7. My mother felt very comfortable with the people they sent. She needed overnight care and they were good. They wrote detailed notes to me so I could follow what my mom was doing. There was not good communication between McClain and Brightstar.

The low impact is of no fault of the agency. My loved one is reclusive and doesn't want caregivers in the first place, so it's hard to have many interactions with the caregivers and her. The office I talk to is very on top of things and knowledgeable. They had quick answers to every question I have.

I would tell a friend that you need to be very clear on your expectations with BrightStar Care because they are inconsistent with their caregivers. BrightStar Care needed to provide the same caregiver instead of constantly changing the caregivers. One of the caregivers even told me that it was first time there. One of the caregivers didn't keep my mother with her diet.
