We had an excellent service with Gentiva Personal Care. We called them on a Sunday afternoon and asked for a caregiver for my spouce with very little notice. They were able to assist us and bring us someone the following morning. The caretaker was the perfect choice for our needs. Calm, caring, clean, she took great care of my wife for several weeks. And on the weekends we had a second person since we needed help 7 days a week. We will very likely need home care services again in the future and Gentiva will be our first choice. Thank you for taking such a good care of my wife.

Gentiva personal caregivers were so efficient getting a schedule set up when my dad needed a 24 hour caregiver so he could come home for his last days. The caregivers were always on time and a schedule was provided to me so I never had to worry about who would show up. I would recommend this company to anyone for their elderly parent. They cleaned him, did some light housework, gave him ice chips, and sat next to him so he was not alone at night. Expensive, yes, but it is good care.

Poonam and her team are amazing and have provided excellent care and support for my mother. I have peace of mind knowing that these dedicated professionals are taking care of her needs every day with quality care and compassion. They have made a positive impact on my life and improved the well-being of my mom. My mom enjoys the staff tremendously and is very comfortable. I would highly recommend Poonam and her team and am so thankful for the top-level service they provide.

Gentiva has made all the difference in the world in caring for my father. His caregiver, Denise, and account manager, Poonam, have been instrumental in meeting his needs. My Dad is a 100% disabled military veteran and his care is overseen by the VA. Both agencies have been a blessing in his life for their contributions to his wellbeing. He is 86 and lives alone at home by choice. His skill set in terms of self care and meal prep is greatly diminished. There is no doubt that he would be in an assisted living facility if not for Gentiva. Denise is there on time, every day and works her rear end off to ensure my Dad’s needs are met. Poonam is always available anytime I need to speak to her and makes house visits to ensure that my Dad is content. Our family is grateful, and very satisfied with their service. Highly recommended!

The attitude of the aides from Gentiva Personal Care Campbell generally seems to be pretty positive. We have two continuous person who come to our home, and they have been very good. The services they provide my wife are personal care, meal preparation, house maintenance, and cleaning. I'm quite satisfied. The communication has been very good. However, they probably need to have more personnel available. They don't have enough people available to fill the need if you have an immediate need to have someone.

The office staff of Gentiva Personal Care were very helpful, amazing and accommodating. The caregiver was very nice. We no longer use them as an agency, but Wendy in the office was outstanding. They were very responsive. Wendy was incredibly helpful and supportive of all my parents' needs. The caregiver was nice. They provided caregiving, which is what we used. They provided help with showering and cooking meals. Traditional caregiving is what they provide. One of the caregivers we had was outstanding. She was amazing, bright, and caring. She was very, very kind and loving to my mom. She was just outstanding.

Gentiva is not bad. So far, they have kept their promise. They send their workers, and they always do. Just like any other worker, they do what they're supposed to do, but no more than that. They help with putting my husband's clothes on and with transfers, and they do light duty housecleaning and cooking. It's OK. You tell them to do something, they do it. If you don't tell them, they don't, even when they see something that needs to be done. They don't have a feeling of belongingness, so it's not like a long-term caregiver. They just do what they have to and leave. Just like any other agency, they're not any worse than anybody else. However, when we need help, they send us help, so that's pretty good.

Gentiva is very nice. We have a caregiver, and we like him a lot. They come on time and are very friendly. We're just satisfied pretty much all around. They come and get my dad ready for the day. They feed him breakfast. They're for companionship, and they do a little bit of light housework like making the bed and cleaning up the dishes. Everything is pretty good, so far.

Gentiva was the only company that really got back to me. Carol is the account manager and she does everything. My mom was in the hospital and called me with an awful stomachache and then I called Carol because it seemed like I needed somebody all night. Carol went out to my mom's and sat with her and dealt with her and kept me on the phone. Then, my mom was put in a rehab and the care there was so horrible that I ended up hiring the Gentiva ladies the rest of the week just to be with my mom from 12:00 to 8:00 every day (I did the morning). I got her out of rehab, and Gentiva started full-time. Poonam is the branch director. These gals were on the phone with me, constantly checking in and making sure I was all right, not really advising me, but giving me options. I had a team of caregivers from Gentiva, and they all were fabulous. I couldn't ask for more caring ladies. I used them for a couple of nights. They couldn't have been better. I was in and out constantly and they were there. They gave my mother super personal care. Somehow, they got her hair washed while she was still in bed. They just went above and beyond. Even the overlapping, one would be off and one would come. They would definitely check with each other. It didn't feel like they were ever punching a clock. Our favorite gal worked with a different family as well and she would pop in and out. When she was done with the other family, she would just come over. Everyone really pitched in to help my mom end her life as comfortably as possible. I have all these people on speed dial if I ever need this kind of care for any of my family or myself. I wouldn't be shopping around at all. These will be my go-to people. They're still contacting me. I would give five stars for their caregivers and five stars for Poonam and Carol. I wouldn't have made it without them. One of the caregivers was actually there with my mother when she passed away. I would give them a very high rating. They would give me phone calls, texting, and emailing me stuff that I needed. My mom liked all of them. They were really, really gentle with her and she needed a lot of care. They weren't just sitting there holding her hand. She was up all night. I'm just glad I had the support I did.

I had a caregiver through Gentiva come for a short time. My husband came from the hospital, and we just needed a person for two weeks. The caregiver was very good and very efficient. Services included mainly household assistance with cooking, doing laundry, watching my husband while showering, general household duties, and accompanying him to doctor visits. We used them every day for two weeks. We were very happy with the services. It helped us out during that period.

We have been working with them for four years now. They're very accommodating. The caregiver that we've had for the past two-and-a-half years, Carolina, is priceless. She has been more helpful than we could ever ask for, and my mom just absolutely adores her. She's like another daughter to her. We have one caregiver now. There are other caregivers available to us if Carolina can't make it and we needed someone else. We have just been with Carolina for the last two-and-a-half years. It's more comfortable for my mom to just have Carolina. She helps with everything, cleaning, cooking, and laundry. My mom is a fall risk. She is impaired, a little weak and becomes dizzy sometimes, and is arthritic and so forth. She is using a walker, so Carolina is here just to make sure that she doesn't fall. She helps her with physical therapy, she takes her outside for walks, and she helps her bathe, basically just everything that we need. For the entire four years that we've been using them, if all of our caregivers were Carolina, they would get a six out of five. We had a few issues in the very beginning with caregivers that were late or wouldn't show up. Carolina, however, has really set the bar. She's really amazing and we're super lucky to have her and very grateful to Kindred for introducing us to her.

We're working with them for maybe two years now. They're for myself and for my husband. I really like them. They're really nice. The head of the place over there at the office, Theresa, is very nice, too. I really have no complaints with that company. They're very good. The communication is really good, and the service is very good, too. They're agreeable. They're just nice. Their personalities are nice, they're easy to talk to, and the service is fine. I have no problem at all with them. They are very agreeable with what has to be done. No ifs, ands or buts. They're just good. It's a really comfortable feeling to have somebody come in and you enjoy them. We get along really well. It seems to work on both sides, with them and us. We're not very hard people to get along with, and it seems like they aren't either. I think there were only two times someone didn't show up, and I think there was a little mix-up on the end of that. So out of all of that time, that's pretty good. I would say to others that, if they use them, I think they would be as pleased as we are with them.

I'm with this agency. I was just looking at a calendar yesterday and I realized that I have been with them for three years now. Compared to a couple other agencies that I used, on a scale of 1 to 10, they're a 10, and the other ones did not supply people that were qualified. They do a better job of screening their applicants, and that's important. They do general light housekeeping. The girl that I have comes and she sweeps my entire downstairs and then she mops my entire downstairs. She goes to pick up my mail by the front gate because I live in a gated community. I have a bedroom upstairs, so she makes my bed and changes the linen when I need it changed and cleans the bathrooms. For me, I just need her once a week. She does grocery shopping as well. I have a spine injury, so she takes me to the doctor's appointments. My caregiver is very pleasant, very educated, very knowledgeable, and very easy to get along with. Right now, I'm extremely happy with them. My care is paid for by my long-term insurance company. I pay upfront, and then the insurance company reimburses me, so they process that very quickly. It's a two-step process, you don't have just the caregiver come, but you work with the office, so the management is very quick to respond as well. They're a little bit more expensive, but the quality of care is superior compared to the other ones that I've used.

I only used them for one day. They were helping me around the house. The caregiver was exceptionally warm, kind, and very attentive. She took a lot of initiative to think about what might be helpful or useful for me around the house. I had just had surgery a few days prior and was on crutches and unable to weight bear, and so she helped supervise me using my crutches around the house to get where I needed to go, and that helped me feel more safe. She cooked for myself and my daughter dinner, which was amazing. She did a lot of laundry and folded it. She communicated with me all the time about how I wanted things done and where things needed to go. She swept up, and the thing that I really appreciated is that she was an excellent communicator. She regularly checked in with me about what I wanted or needed or what would be helpful. I arranged for her to come to be with me because my spouse couldn't be at the house at that time. Soon after my surgery, I didn't feel safe being alone, and so she provided a lot of safety and comfort and then a lot of practical things around my house that just eased the caregiving responsibilities for my spouse.

We started using them in July, but we had actually used them several years ago at a point when my mom needed some care and my father was still with us and in the hospital. We like them enough from a couple of years ago, that when I needed to get help for Mom unexpectedly and virtually immediately, that's who I called since we already had a relationship with them. It's been about six weeks now that we've been back with them full time. My experience with them is 99.9 out of 100. The only thing was that there was one scheduling mishap and the caregiver wasn't supposed to leave until the replacement got there, but he had left early. Luckily, my mom was still awake and she called and said, 'There's nobody here,' and so we called and they right away got somebody down there. When there has been even any kind of issue or super minor to anything, they have been extremely flexible and extremely responsive. That's why even though that was kind of a major faux pas, I still give them 99.9 out of 100. If it wasn't for that one issue, it would be 100 out of 100, but nothing like that even come close to happening again. In fact, every month when the schedule is sent, they send it to me, so I know who's on duty 24 hours a day. They even kind of went above and beyond what they needed to do to assure me that it won't happen again. My mom has dementia, so she's not really able to take care of herself. She can get around with her walker, so they help her, they do a nice job of balancing the letting her get up and do things on her own because she needs the exercise with keeping an eye on her and staying close in case she does have an issue, so they're really good at that. Then there she gets Meals on Wheels, so they reheat the Meals on Wheels for her. Until the Meals on Wheels started, they were doing sandwiches and toasts and stuff like that. My mom has never been a big eater, so that part was really easy. They do the laundry, they do the vacuuming and light housekeeping. The people are really good companions for my mom, too. They chat with her during the day and keeping her mind occupied. I would say it's general babysitting for lack of a better term and just making sure she's safe. They were great years ago and they're still great. I don't even know how they managed to do it because my mom is so fussy, but they have put together a team right out of the gate. They all work together well, and somehow my mom even likes them all.

We mostly have good experiences with them. I've been working with them since the beginning of August. They provided round-the-clock care when I was first sent home. Now, I got down to one shift with somebody that does mostly everything I need now. It's mostly satisfactory with the caregivers. There were some of course better than others, which we expected. One of my sons is doing the bills for me.

We have been using this agency for three months now. They are here 3 times a week for 3 hours a day. I'm using a rollator and a power chair, and I've got myositis (IBM). It is a debilitating disease. It kills your muscles, your nerves and your whole body. It is ongoing. I'm getting to the point, slowly but surely, where I'm having a hard time doing a lot of different things. I get concerned where I get to take a shower, especially when there's no one home. So they work out. I have someone now who can be in the next room and with the door partially open, I can take my shower. They will do everything that they could possibly do for you. I have difficulty with balance. If I have to put a pair of socks on I can't do that, so they do that for me. While I'm taking a shower, they're sweeping the floor in the bedroom, they are making my bed or maybe change my linens. They stay busy and they're always there trying to anticipate what you need, just being right there for you. They're like angels; their hearts are huge. They're really very caring people. You can tell that it is not a job that they're doing just because they're making money. They're doing it because they enjoy helping people. On top of that, Ann and Megan, their managers, can't seem to do enough for you either. Ann even shows up at the house occasionally just to check and see how things are going or if you're getting what you need. They're always reaching out to you. I have yet to find anything that they aren't doing their best.

We hired them for my mother. We use them mostly for companionship. So far, it's going pretty well. It seems like it's a pretty good fit. It's just a little awkward on the administration in the beginning, but we've been working through it. We chose them because I liked the questions that the woman asked when she came out. Her questions were more in-depth.

My caregiver is very attentive to all my needs. She helps me with personal care, like showering, hair care, dressing, toileting, and walking with me. She also does my laundry, light house work, and meal preparation. She has a positive attitude, takes pride in her work, and shows confidence.

Tesa, the caregiver is excellent. Since she has been with my husband, his movement has improved says his doctor since January. Tesa is very resourceful. She has found new exercise for Richard; facial, speech. And Richard is now standing longer because of her. She also moves with him when she does the exercises. That is very important.
