Finding good help and support for a loved one is not easy. Home Care Assistance Huntsville took our family clients and loved ones to the cleaners. The opposite of quality care was provided by one of their assigned caregivers. Several care managers of this company provided the opposite of quality care. Their 24/7 declarations are false. Their caregivers are not trained; one caregiver assigned to my mother showed up, did very little that was specified in the care plan, and left the premises and her assigned shift. The client was alone for over 6 hours (unattended and without the agreed-upon support). One of the care managers claimed it was 0300 hours. A replacement was attempted, but no replacement was available. Lastly, they will take every dime they can by reminding you about their 24-hour in-advance cancellation policy. And, don't expect an apology from them at all. This is not their protocol. Huntsville Care Assistance is not alone. Finding good help and support for a loved one is unavailable in Huntsville, AL.

She does a fine job but because my mom has dementia it's more of a help to me, it gives me peace of mind that she's being cared for. I would tell a friend that they seem to really try to work with you, if someone isn't coming they call ahead of time to let you know.

There were different people. More than nine people came. Some were good, some were bad. When we spoke to Home Care Assistance, we needed them quickly when she was leaving the hospital. She needed help, and when we called they didn't have enough staff at the moment for the hours we needed. Then after two weeks, we had 2 people, Brandy and Cambree, and they were good.

My caregiver wanted to watch TV all afternoon. I got very nervous and upset with how they talked to me. I was not a pleasant relationship. If they tried to teach there caregivers to be more compassionate instead of saying I don't know what you want me to do or I cannot read your mind.

She was absolutely terrified of our cat, and they should have screened for that. If the cat even walked towards her, she would run outside.
