I was impressed by the WI Veterans Home - Boland Hall. It was well-lit, clean, and spacious compared to where my uncle is now. The rooms, the dining facility, and the recreational area were nice and tidy, and a lot of the places were enclosed for patients to be able to walk outside without having to worry about them wandering off. They could get fresh air, and it's out in the open. The staff during the tour seemed friendly, open, and informative, and seemed like a very pleasant person to deal with. They had dining facilities, an entertainment center, an ice cream parlor type thing, crafts, and physical therapy.
