I toured Teal Shores Senior Living. It's a nice place. It's very clean. It's just that the memory care wing is pretty exclusive. The room that was available from my mom faced the courtyard that was just a bunch of swampy grass, and it was in the wrong exposure. It's just nothing to look at. I could never move her to a place like that. She would just get so depressed. It would be horrible. The sitting room that they have, it's in the middle of the floor, and it's dark. It seems like most of the activities are focused on assisted living and not really memory care. They say that the memory care people can go out into the great room area, but they never wander out there on their own because it's just too intimidating, and so different. I mean, it's out of that little hallway that they are used to their comfort zone. It would be too confusing. She'd never be able to do it unless a staff member took her. There's never enough staff. The girl who's in charge of activities was very nice and kind. The room just didn't seem very bright. They were in the process of putting in gray luxury vinyl floors. The room didn't seem very cheerful.
