It is wonderful. It's like we died and went to heaven. I highly recommend them. They have hired very caring people. All staff members are professional and hardworking people. They are excellent. Mom has a studio with everything in it and a bathroom. They have lots of great activities. They do cooking, bus trips, and musicians coming in. They have this thing where they earn money when they do activities and then they can use that money to buy things at their general store, which I find kind of neat. They exercise five days a week every morning. They have a beauty parlor. The place is beautifully located in a woodsy area, so the dining area opens up to trees that change colors, which is beautiful. They have a little patio just outside the dining room. I toured the place three times, and I'm just always impressed every time.

I toured LakeHouse Manitowoc. They were very nice. I had a tour guide and I talked to the administrator there. He answered questions, and the other gal did, too. I was much more satisfied with that than the other community. They showed me a studio and a single bedroom. The studio apartment is set up as a place where it is shown to visitors. There was a bed, a couch, and a microwave. It was small and only 500 square-feet compared to what I'm now at 1200 which was not appealing to me. They had a one-bedroom and was divided into a dining room and living room area, plus a bedroom and a separate room, somewhat small compared to where I am living now, but the amenities were pretty good. They have activities available every day. They have a bus that belongs to the building there, and they take you where you want to go. It has a very nice dining facility, plus two places for gathering. They had another area for religious church facilities and a TV room area. The staff was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. She was well-versed in what she was doing.

We visited them. The tour was wonderful. It was nice and clean. The staff who assisted us was very personable. She was a very nice person, and she answered every question we had. The residents were playing cards. They weren't actually doing them physically, but they have a daily activity board, and different things go on every day. The room has everything you need.

We're hoping to get my in-laws into here. The rooms were spacious, they had two different rooms, a studio, and then they have a regular room. It's like a little apartment, and they are very nice. The place is just beautiful, and the lady that I met with was just wonderful. She listened and she cared. I met the cooks and they were very nice, they were clean, like they had cook's uniforms on. They have a lot of amenities. She showed me a board and there is a lot for the residents to do. There's a salon up there, they have a room where they do things like bean bag toss, and activities, and exercising. It is very nice.

I toured, and it has a warm and caring atmosphere. Our tour with Derek was topnotch, he showed us everything, explained everything thoroughly, and we weren't rushed through. It was everything she needed and more. We just were there for an hour and a half, getting all our questions answered. We saw what they had to offer for her, and availability; we couldn't ask for anything more.

My mother moved here last February. I helped her move there. She loves it. It's kind of independent living plus assisted living, and she doesn't need much help. She has a one-bedroom apartment, and she has a little dog. She is able to go walk around, and they have a kind of meadow in the back with woods and a river. It's just a really pretty place. They bring her medications in the apartment in the morning and evening. She gets three meals, and they have activities. The maintenance guy has helped us put her pictures on the wall. His mom is the main cook, so they've got home-cooked meals. I would recommend it. The staff is very friendly. Everything is very clean.

My mother-in-law is now here, and we’re very happy with it. They're treating her very well, and she has gotten herself, included in all of the activities. They have done a pretty good job working with her and helping her, so we're happy with them. She has a beautiful room on the first floor with one bedroom, living room, bathroom, and a little kitchenette with a stove. She can walk right out on the front foyer and watch people come and go or she can handle the elevator and go up to see the activities on the second floor. It's been working out better than I had even hoped for.
