"My mother moved to Emerald Shores. The care is very good and we're very happy with her there. Her room is very nice and has new carpeting; we're happy with it. She has memory issues, but the staff tries to keep her involved as much as possible. Their food is good. It's just a small community. They didn't have a specific library, but they have a lot of lounge areas. It's just about 20 beds and is in a rural area northeast of Wisconsin. They have outdoor areas."

"The tour at Angels Touch Assisted Living was very good. The rooms were a little bit smaller, but otherwise, they looked pretty nice. They tried to get the people out to do activities, and they were very good about that. They had singing. They had a little band that come in once or twice a month. They had bingo. They had cards. They had all games like that. The staff I met there seemed very friendly and very concerned."

"I went to Oak Park Place Green Bay. It was very nice, it was a beautiful place, decorated better, newer, and the rooms were very nice. They had activities going on when I was there; there was a group of people playing cards. The manager was very nice. She was showing me the prices of things, but she gave one price and then goes, "Well, I'm not really sure what the price is, it might have gone up," so I assumed it was higher. It was farther away for me to visit my mom and for my brother as well, plus Mom would have to give three months notice if she decided to go home, and it was a little more expensive than the other place. The dining area was very pretty, the facility was out by the woods, and the views were better."

"Fieldcrest Manor was nice and the staff was nice. There seems to be quite a few activities for anybody who wants to be involved in anything."

"I toured Angelus Senior Living. I like everything about it but we couldn't afford it. It was a beautiful place, and it was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting."

"My grandfather lives at Kindred Hearts in Manitowoc, WI. It's a fairly small assisted living facility where many of the residents, including my grandpa, have Alzheimer's. It is a nice, friendly place. They always have the meals of the day and special events posted so the residents know what to expect, and are reminded when they forget. There is a little courtyard in the middle of the two residential wings that is nice for the residents to get outside and is a good place to chat with visiting loved ones. The building is fenced in and has safety alarms on the doors so the caretakers know if a resident exits the building. They understand the special needs for the type of residents that live there and are patient with their memory loss. We are generally happy with the service my grandpa receives there."

" I have whitnessed the owners screem at the residents. Also a resident was wheeled into the office saying, no I don't want to go. I heard him call her crazy. She came out crying!"

"It was nice and it was cozy. They don't have a lot of room there, but I think that's a good thing because then they get more time to spend with their clients or patients. With COVID, I couldn't go into the rooms because there were people living in the rooms, but I did a quick peek. The lady told me that once in a while she will go out and grill on the grill for the residents, and that's pretty cool. She was very, very nice."

"It was very nice. The apartments were very big and very affordable. The staff member was very helpful. She spent as much time with us as we needed. They had a place for religious services with stained glass windows. However, it was a little too big for my mom. The apartments had tall windows and lots of lights. My mom in her condition right now had to be more assisted. They had a backup nurse, but you were more on your own. Their dining area had a big, old fireplace. It was beautiful. You felt like it was home. There were three of us all together, and they served us lunch. It was very nice. It had three levels and was big and spacious. You would need an elevator. It was an old hospital. "

"I liked Scandinavian Court. The apartments were bigger than I thought they were going to be, and the staff was very nice. The girl who took me around was very knowledgeable, nice, and kind, and told me everything I needed to know. They do a lot of activities and go on field trips. It's not that big. The dining area was nice. They use it for get-togethers and do some activities there, also. "

"Our experience at Field of Dreams has been very positive, and they're very helpful. The rooms are very spacious, and the dining room is family-style with small tables. She gets exercises every day and does social activities, church services, and a variety of activities. We're very happy with it and don't have any concerns at all. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and cooperative. "
