BEST EVER!! Never did I think we would ever be able to convince our parents to move into a senior living apartment village, but then we found Angelus. As the name implies…”Angels among us” is exactly what this community is. Katie, Jodi, Kay, and Nancy treat everyone as family. They give the best personal care to every single resident (and their families!). The staff at Angelus get to know each resident so well that the staff adjusts activities and projects to each individual’s preferences and strengths. They always listen to family members, and their primary focus is to always make certain that their residents feel good and comfortable and “at home.” Healthcare and safety are a top priority, as well as dignity and companionship. Angelus cares about the “whole” individual and makes it its mission to love and care for its residents as family. Angelus residents are invited to be as involved as they’d like to be…with countless opportunities to be an integral part of their community. Fun, engaging, educational, and wellness-oriented activities are constantly happening. Indoor, outdoors, in the community…you name it. And if they don’t have something already planned, Katie, Jodi, and Kay are always receptive to new ideas! To end each week positively, they get the weekend started off right with a full-blown Happy Hour, with music, dancing, and even card-playing! With the beauty of this incredible living space (My dad often refers to it as his “cruise ship hotel.”), along with the nature setting outdoors (Lake Michigan and water falls out front, and the Lincoln Park Zoo, woods, and walking path behind, you would be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful place. Still what makes it most beautiful is the care and love you feel the moment you walk in. It’s all about community, love, and caring for one another. That is evident in every interaction, every decoration, and every activity within the walls of Angelus. I promise you that the best place for a loved one to enjoy their golden years is at Angelus Senior Living! You will be so blessed to be a part of the Angelus family, just as we have been.

I toured Angelus Senior Living. I like everything about it but we couldn't afford it. It was a beautiful place, and it was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting.

My aunt is at Angelus Senior Living in Manitowoc and the facility is absolutely beautiful. It's almost like a resort. It's spotless. It's clean. I've eaten there and the food is delicious, but the staff would be the best thing to say about it. The staff could not be any nicer or accommodating. They have a director named Julie who has been wonderful to help facilitate this move. We just have no complaints at all. It's, in my opinion, the best I've ever seen and I was a social worker for 44 years, so I've seen homes in my time and this is the best facility I have ever seen. They had a full list of activities and as of right now, my aunt has not participated in anything as she's just getting settled, but there's so much to do. They actually have a happy hour every Friday night in their bar. They have a movie room and exercise classes.
