"I toured Spring Arbor of Leesburg. They seemed to be very professional and were more aware of the regulations and processes of getting your parents moved in. They seemed very competent. The facility was very nice. It didn't have a modern feel, it had more of a colonial feel, but it was very clean and welcoming. There's plenty of light; it did not feel depressing at all. It's all on one floor and sprawling, which is kind of nice because the residents can move around more. You could pretty much do laps inside the building because it's so big. We like how sprawling it was inside and it kind of keeps the residents protected from the weather."

"The people at the Willows at Meadow Branch looked very happy, and it was clean and smelled good. I saw families visiting. The room was very nice that the staff member showed me. It looked like it was newly updated. It was really nice, and it was just a studio I looked at. They had bingo. The people were friendly. I popped in, so I kind of surprised them. There was no one at the reception area, but the administrator was nice."

"We are leaning toward Spring Arbor for my mom. I have visited other people there in the past. It's beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The room is beautiful. It's a beautiful place. It has nice common areas, a nice dining room, and a coffee room. I have been to lectures in the conference area and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and warm."

"My mother moved into Reflections - A Senior Living Community. It's a nice, small community. She has a roommate, and it's a nice, little room. There's exercise in the morning, they have people come in, they had a pianist come and play the other day, and they do arts, and flower arranging. The food is good. The staff is really good, and caring, and they do an excellent job. It's good value, it's less expensive than the others."

"We liked Brookdale Hagerstown. The staff was very polite and informative. It was a very nice building. It was beautiful. The place made me feel good and I thought to myself, I wouldn't mind living there. The layout of the rooms was great. The dining area was very nice, too."

"Seaton Hagerstown was nice. The lady was nice. It was above average looking at it. The accommodation was like an apartment. They had efficiency apartments and shared ones, too. Actually, it's pretty shaded there. There are a lot of trees around, and it isn't that far from where I live."

"My sister is at Spring Arbor of Frederick. We chose it, because of the closeness to her residence where her home was and the facility is nice. We liked the appearance of the single bedroom and the apartment type of living. They have a lot of amenities. Their dining area is very nice. It's normal food and it's three meals a day. The facility is very clean. The staff is very pleasant, outgoing, and nice."

"The community is lovely and full of life. The caregivers care about my mom and treat her with respect and dignity. When I visit or call in with a question I am always made to feel like I can call anytime or stop in for questions without being a bother. You know you have the right place when you can visit any day and any time and you get the same friendly staff."

"We toured Sunrise of Frederick. We were very impressed with the facilities, and the personnel. They seemed very enthusiastic about their job and very empathetic in their interactions with the residents. It doesn't have a lot of grounds, so that might be a little bit of a downside. It's a slightly older building, so they're showing age a little bit, but it is still very well-kept, clean, cheerful, and decorated well. They had a really cute little soda shop. Overall, it was nice. It was like the middle afternoon when we were there, so the residents were watching TV, some of them were taking part in a little craft project, and some of them were sitting and reading and stuff."

"My mother-in-law has been in here for almost a week now. It's been a great transition. The people are warm and caring, and she thinks it's beautiful and bright. She plays bingo and joined an exercise class, so it's pretty remarkable. She also said that the food was good."

"Hessler Heights Gracious Retirement Living was very good. They have a live-in manager, which I think is very good. The sizes of the apartments were OK. They have balconies. On one side, they have a view of the mountains if you're on the top floor. The food was very good. One thing I like is that they serve their dinner in the middle of the day. They have breakfast, they have dinner, and they have supper. The main meal is in the middle of the day, which is better. I was very impressed with the enthusiasm of the assistant manager who gave us the tour. The one-bedroom units are a decent size. The two-bedroom is very nice. You only get a kitchenette in your apartment, which means you get a sink and a refrigerator and not enough counter space to put more than your coffee maker. That is a drawback for me, but there is generally room to put in some shelving or cabinetry where you can also put your microwave. They do not provide a microwave, which is a drawback. The place was very clean. The people were friendly. The people I talked to really seemed to like the place. I saw groups of people who seemed relatively animated and lively. I got a very good vibe there, of being an active place. There's not much in the way of grounds, which was a little disappointing, but overall, I was well impressed with it. I have a friend who is moving today. My main drawback was the lack of a kitchen, but they have a communal kitchen, so that's good, if you want to cook or something. The staff that I interacted with, the receptionist and the assistant manager, were very good. I can be comfortable there. It was vibrant."

"My husband is a resident of Lansdowne Heights Located in Leesburg Virginia. They have activities, and they always give them snacks, and they're the greatest. The staff are all very good. They're very caring, and they listen to you, and they try to make the best of you. They're good caregivers. The housekeeping is very clean and very nice. It's not cheap, but for what they do and everything, it is worth it."

"Tribute at One Loudoun is a very clean environment. It's modern. The rooms were pleasant and there was plenty of light. They have plenty of services available, but everybody kind of has something similar to the services. But it was really the environment like the surroundings and the lighting, and Tribute at One Loudoun just felt like a home, not a last-stop facility. The staff members were very informative, helpful, and accommodating. They walked us through kind of what to expect from long-term care and how they would help us manage that, so that was helpful. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, too."

"I liked Wingler House. The apartment was pretty nice. The bathroom was a little small, and the kitchen was a little small, but it had a pantry for the kitchen, which I liked. The person who toured me was fine, but not very pleasant. They had more activities than some of the others, like exercise classes. They also had vans that go places."
