Love the staff here! My Dad’s been here 2+ years, and although there have been a few staff changes. They’ve all been helpful & responsive, and most of all, take great care of my Dad! They try very hard to meet his dietary needs and preferences, and secure extra medical help as necessary to keep him well. At first, my dad was the only man in his house, so he was happier when other men came, as everyone needs someone to relate to & visit with about common interests. I’d recommend From the Heart if your elder needs full time care or supervision. Each resident has their own private bedroom and bath, and has an opportunity to socialize at meal times and throughout the day in the living room, where there’s always a puzzle going, a large TV, and comfortable seating. The staff also recognizes special occasions for residents and go out of their way to make family members feel welcome!

From the Heart Assisted Living looked more like a family because it only had six residents to a home. It had five homes all connected together. It had a big community backyard, and they can walk into any of the five homes if they want to. The room had enough space for a regular size bed, a chair, and a TV. They also do the laundry there, but they don't put everybody's laundry all together. They just do one person's laundry at a time, which is good.

My wife is in From the Heart Assisted Living. I investigated quite a few of them, and it's the best one. It's a little different than most assisted living places. It has four houses surrounding a large courtyard and there are six residents in each house. It's more like a home environment than most places are. As far as assisted living places go, it's really good. Once in a while, they have entertainment come there. They take them on little trips and some activities. The food is pretty good. The staff is good and very caring.

From the Heart is just two blocks from my home, and we looked at every house. They are all similar, but yet not alike in the core of work plan. There is a large variety of homes there and they are very nice. The staff is probably just as good as all the other staff members. When I took the interview with the manager of the place, she gave me the prices, and it sounded like he would be more comfortable in each home. I think he may be more comfortable in this home because there are two other males in the same circumstances he is in, and he would have some companions that’s there. It was really great but they didn’t have any openings. For the interview process, I would rate it a 4+. It was a good interview after my work hours which were wonderful because I work a lot, and I was really grateful that she did it after work.
