My brother moved to Creekside Continuing Care Community. The reason we chose it was because of proximity. The staff is great. The rooms are clean. They really address maintenance issues in a timely manner. I like the staff because of their professionalism, help, knowledge, ease of contact, and concern. They have activities and it's easy to access, proximity to a town, and it has big windows outdoors, very outdoorsy. I think there's also attention to nutrition and calories and they're very concerned about quality and health issues, good portions. There's a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, and that was a positive. They have activities that they do at home, like music, movies, games, and get-togethers. They've got a good library. The only thing I'd like to complain about is their exercise room. They probably need a more extensive exercise room. I think everything's expensive, but for what they're providing I think their base rate is good for the food. I could say it's very good. The only thing I would recommend a little more thoroughly is just more outdoor space for the residents, perhaps an enclosed park-like environment, much more grass and trees.

My mom will be moving into the Creekside Continuing Care Community. It's a lovely facility. The staff members are wonderful, kind, and helpful. They honestly seem to care about their residents. All the residents looked happy. The staff knew all their names. They would say hi and then ask a question about some personal details with that person, so it was clear that they knew them well, and I liked that. The inside is clean. They've been responsive to requests. It needs some painting on the outside. The landscaping is lovely. They have a library and a theater. One of the things that I like is that they have exercise classes on-site twice a day, every day. They do activities and stuff. The only thing I don't like about it is that they have a long hall.

I toured the independent living of Creekside Continuing Care Community. They have all three levels there. It's a beautiful facility. It has a lot of gardens, and it has three courtyards. The neighborhood is top-rated. My mom and I both love that neighborhood. It's a place to walk your dog, your pet, or whatever, and they have a pet play area. However, the rooms were just too small. The staff who gave me the tour was very good. They have a beautiful dining room. They have a private dining room, too, for the family members when they come over. It's a newer place. They use high-quality windows, I noticed, and some of the other things were just nice. It's the only place that offers cottages, which was pretty cool for some people. They have a garage attached to the unit. It looked like a duplex with two garages.

The top of our list is Creekside. I really like it. I like that they have two different dining areas, e.g., a regular dining hall and a bistro. You can go to either one. This gives you two different dining options. They have five courtyards too. Most of the rooms look into a courtyard. They have balconies and there is good light in the rooms. I really like that. Each hallway is decorated in a different theme and I didn't see that anywhere else. I thought that was cool because otherwise they all look the same. They have themed hallways, which I thought was really great. The hallways weren't drab. They had a calendar of activities. I really liked the community. The staff who helped me was very good.

Skagit formerly Creekside was too big, and I did not like it. The buildings were very large and confusing, the floor plan was difficult, and some of the rooms were very small. My mom couldn’t find her way back to her room as she tried; I couldn’t find my way around either. The staff was nice, and they also have games and movie nights.

I had gone to The Creekside. It was very well put together. Their director or tour person was very professional, very informative, and her follow-up was very good. We would be there right now if it wasn’t for the price. Once, again, it came down to the expense. However, because of where it was location and how well taken care of it is, I would say that it was definitely worth what the other place was asking for. They had extras that the other facilities that we looked at did not have. They had an actual Alzheimer’s unit and locked up areas for Alzheimer’s patients. They were a retirement community, but they also had assisted and memory care. They had everything.

I loved Creekside the most, and I was going to place my parents there. The lady that gave me the tour seemed really caring. What I really liked was that all of the assisted living residents were on the second floor and didn’t have to go downstairs because their dining room and activity areas were on the second floor. They have a big dining room on the first floor where they serve meals for longer hours, so they might start serving breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for lunch, giving more options for when to come down and eat, which I thought was pretty cool. They posted the menu for the day around the facility. They had a huge and nice activity area, and they were playing bingo when I was there. The price was really reasonable.

We liked Creekside, and we even contemplated moving mom there, but she had another stroke. The rooms available were bigger; they had a shared one bedroom with a little kitchen area and its own bathroom.

Skagit Valley Senior Village (Formerly Creekside Continuing Care Community) is assisted living, and they even have dementia quarters. It's nice, but I'm not one that wants to get dressed up to go for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday. I have eaten there, and it was a big dining room. It was very good food, there's nothing to complain about, I just don't want to eat like that everyday. The staff was very good.

My father will be moving to Skagit Valley, and we liked it because of the location and the price. The rooms were nice and spacious. He will have a studio with a kitchenette. They have daily activities like bingo, going out to the stores and casino, and going out for drives. The people were very friendly and very helpful, but they should improve on welcoming the people; it felt like sometimes they were kind of more about getting him in versus customer service.

I am in Skagit Valley Senior Village and I am very much pleased with everything. I choose this because this is the best. They have a monthly calendar for the schedule of activities and they send out weekly calendar for the residents to know what is going on for the week. They have menu for the meals and if ever we didn't like what is on the menu, there is another page with the list of food we can choose from. We have a monthly meeting with the heads of the kitchen and the servers where we can tell them our likes and dislikes on the meals. They also ask about our special meals and allergy because they post them in the kitchen so everyone will know how to prepare the meals for us. There is also a large private dining room, which we can use for special events, but we need to reserve it ahead of time to avoid conflict with the others who wants to use it. The staff takes care of our needs and meet with our once a month. The housekeepers inform us what time they will be in the apartment to clean it. They allow us to use our own beddings and they towels and they wash them with no extra cost as long as they have our names and room numbers. If ever we have visitors from out of town, they can rent a room with meals included for only $100. I really love it here and this is the most reasonably priced place I have ever seen. I am recommending them other 100%.
