I toured Spring Arbor of Winchester. It was a very good tour experience. It was a very good one-on-one meeting with the tour guide. We saw many different parts of the community, and it was very good. The tour guide was excellent. She spent a lot of time with us and was very open and honest about the process. She seems to have the best interests of the new residents in mind. The apartments were nice. We looked at a one-bedroom. It needed updating, but it was very nice and spacious. The dining area was closed while we were there, so I did not see it in operation. However, it was very tidy and bright, and it looked to be sufficient. I saw the cafe, which was a welcoming area for all residents. The activity calendar was filled, which was encouraging. There were a lot of activities with a concentration on keeping things upbeat and social.

Management seems disengaged, indifferent and disorganized, called to speak to someone about issues phone just rings not answered over the course of two weekdays. Residents seem to have few if any directed activities and turn over in that department. During pandemic duration of outdoor visits limited, if we have been visiting under a “ lockdown” scenario why have a time limit, they are elderly not prisoners! Were there and following protocols why chase us away? Food service poor, inconsistent and not what is published on menus under pandemic guidelines no deliveries. They have no other options, nothing to prepare food in unit they are forced to eat substandard food. (When residents had to remain in their rooms food delivered in hamburger boxes.) Have visited the faculty for others friends and it seems to have dropped in quality over the years. Perhaps the cause, or due to high turnover. Upsetting to witness.

We are leaning toward Spring Arbor for my mom. I have visited other people there in the past. It's beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The room is beautiful. It's a beautiful place. It has nice common areas, a nice dining room, and a coffee room. I have been to lectures in the conference area and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and warm.

Spring Arbor of Winchester's staff is outstanding and the facility is clean. The rooms were much larger than some of the others and I just enjoyed the overall feeling of the facility. It was certainly my first choice. The dining setup seemed to be terrific. They have lots of activities. They have a beauty salon and a library.

Spring Arbor was very nice, and the person that showed me around was very informative. She told me that I did not belong in assisted care yet, and I was too independent to go there. It has a pleasant and busy atmosphere. They did have an activities director.

We were not happy with Spring Arbor of Winchester. It just seemed very impersonal. We couldn't imagine that the patients would get the care that they need, and they didn't have any private rooms. It almost felt like a motel kind of experience instead of a home experience. The dining room was large, but it appeared to me that the people in the secure area ate in with all the other people, probably at a different time, but they weren't separated. People with mental conditions or with Alzheimer's have to have their own space. They had a program there, and we saw some participating, but we made up our mind pretty soon because of the way the rooms were situated; it was not a place where we would want to put my husband.

Been visiting this facility for two years in Winchester with mother. She made the decision to live at arbor after my father passed. She loves it with the up most passion. She tells me and everyone she is treated like a queen and the staff can't do enough for her. They check on her all thru the nite every two hours and even more if she wants them too. Loves the food. Activities galore not to mention a beautiful facility She only wishes she could come sooner w my father so he could have enjoyed the facility w her . She has a beautiful apartment and a beautiful attitude. You could not drag her from spring arbor. Thank u spring arbor for taking all the worries off me and letting my mother enjoy her golden years w your little bit of heaven.

my aunt lives in the dementia wing in the back of the building. First I found it odd that you could only get to the area if you drive around to the back entrance or go down the service hall way. When I arrived the staff was not friendly and not aware I was family this was my first visit. I looked around for my aunt to see her upset and one of the staff dragging her by her walker across the room, they were trying to take her down a very dark hallway that I wouldn have even been a bit uneasy about. Caught me very off guard that they thought walking in front of someone dragging an adult is appropriate care. It very much upset me to see the lack of compassion or attentiveness for my aunt or anyones family member for that matter! they couldn't have cared less in my oppinion
