My daughter and I picked The Peaks because it only has six beds, so it’s a comfortable and casual place for my husband to live. Their care is wonderful, and we’re thrilled with it. They are so loving and sweet and very nice to him. He’s an easy person to get along with because he doesn’t complain about pain, so he’s easy to care for. I was there when a lady was changing him, and I said, “Oh, I appreciate you so much,” and she said “we just love him here.” I can tell they do. He also feels loved there. He has to have physical therapy whether the therapist is in or out, and the staff ambulates him and keeps him walking. He’s there for that kind of exercise and care, and he is making progress. I think it’s hard to keep a community really clean but it’s well taken care of. He is being fed three times a day; he has to have everything pureed, and they do that for him.
