"I toured Autumn Springs Home Care Communities Galveston. I liked the way it was set up. They're under construction right now. So, there's nothing available. I liked the management there. The manager was very, very nice and informative. The place was nice. Everybody had their own individual room, unless you shared a room with one other person. But it wouldn't be a bunch of people together. They showed me around everything. I just happened to pop up in the area. I didn't have an appointment. I liked the way they were set up with their rooms and everything. They have a library and different activities during the day. Everything was clean."

"We had my father in which was close to our house and he was in hospice for about 5 days. They were excellent; I was very pleased with the facility. Even though he was only there for 5 days, I was also really pleased and satisfied with the hospice group that we dealt with. The rooms were OK. I never ate there but the food smelled good and looked good. Everything worked out. "

"It was very nice. They gave us a meal and it's marvelous. The people that were in the dining area were very pleasant and introduced themselves to me and talked to me, the person in the dietary area and the kitchen came out and introduced themselves. And it was very, very nice. The apartment is nice, but the one that they had available at the time for me was just too tiny. I didn't need an efficiency apartment, I guess you would call it. But it was nice, and the one-bedroom was very nice that I've seen. They had a lot of activities, they went to different places. They have an evening where you can sit down and socialize with one another. They got a bar, they got it like a buffet style thing. The staff said that if you were hungry, wanted a snack, you could come downstairs and get it. I liked it."

"Reunion Court of Clear Lake just seemed like a convenient location for me and my mom, close to where we live, and it seemed clean and well-organized. The staff were friendly. They have a one bedroom. They did show a studio, but we weren't interested. They seemed like they had organized activities for the folks. One of the things that was kind of restricting was the meal times that had to be designated. I think there was like a one-hour or maybe an hour and a half or two-hour window of time if you missed your meals that time and there was no meal. We saw the lunchroom area and they did have a salon."

"Brookdale Pearland was a very welcoming, homey personal care home. The staff showed me around. She knew all the residents' names. She toured me around. It's a beautiful place. They had great facilities. It would be super great if my husband could go there, but they don't do skilled nursing. They showed me a studio and it was great. This one had a little patio, which would have been perfect for him because he's a smoker. They had a whole room upstairs that had activities like puzzles, games, and a pool table, and it was super nice. They had a beautiful outdoor patio. The staff had told me about a little Oktoberfest they just had for the clients and their families. I just like how it wasn't institutional."

"My sister goes to Everywhere Is Home Residential Assisted Living for daycare. It's extremely wonderful. The facility is very clean. The assistance that they give is more than 1 to 1. It's a very small community. The workers are very caring and very attentive. It's wonderful, and she could also live there, so eventually, when that time comes, I will let her be a resident there. They do yoga, games, and puzzles, they give her meals, they do movie time where they have popcorn, and things for her to watch on TV, in nice, little comfortable recliners and blankets if they want. The ladies that work there treat the people like they're family. They have a beautiful yard with flowers, they do gardening with them, and a beautiful patio set where they could sit and read."

"We visited the assisted living facility of The Reserve at Pasadena. They're a very clean facility. The decorations that they have, as far as the whole building itself, look like a hotel instead of a nursing home. The rooms were very nice. The nurses were nice, and the people seemed happy. They were all sitting in the kitchen eating, and it was very nice. I like that my father would have a private room for himself there with his own shower, and he can control his air conditioning, because he gets cold and then he gets hot. I really like the whole place in general. They have a hands-on baking class where they can all purchase a plate and cook whatever they want. They have bingo nights, movie nights, and all kinds of activities. The person who gave the tour was very nice and respectful. She asked me if there was anything that I wanted to ask about, and she answered every question. She was very nice to the people who were there, and they all seemed to know her. There were hugs, and it's like they're one big family. They were in the process of eating lunch, and she said we were welcome to sit there and eat if we wanted to. She said they have a chef who works there, and he prepares gourmet meals for them. He used to work for a hotel, and they hired him there. He's been cooking for them for 20 years."

"The Reserve at Pearland has an awesome nurse. The facility looked lovely. The people there were very friendly and welcoming. They have lots of things to do. It was a beautiful place, but their staff was what really stood out for me. They were so friendly. They've reached out to me and they've offered to do things. They were wonderful. Crystal was the name of the nurse and she was fabulous. Chloe was the one taking us around and she was really good, too. They've got good-sized rooms. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. Everybody was very nice. If they saw us, they introduced themselves, so I couldn't ask for better."

"My husband moved into Angels Landing Residential Care Homes. One of the things that impressed me was that she came to the house to meet us. She wanted to meet my husband, and she called before letting me know that I did not need to worry. They were going to take care of my husband. A lot of times, people don't hear you. I did not get the feeling that it was a financial reason for her concern. I sensed her authenticity, integrity, and dignity. His living space was impeccably pristine. It was suggested that no family members come for 30 days in order to give my husband a chance to acclimate to a new environment, and I thought that was just really impeccably on point. I've experienced good customer service there."

"My friend stayed in the Doll House Assisted Living Home. It was awesome. It was his first time, being a 59-year-old male, and he enjoyed it so far the few days he was there. The room that he was in was pretty big. There were four beds in that particular room. They provided all the meals. It was very well put together. Each room had a flat-screen TV. They did activities daily. The staff is extra friendly. Most of the staff are family. The mother is the owner, and she has two daughters who work for her and a nephew. There are a few others that are CNA certified but for the most part, most of the workers are family, and they're very friendly and personable. He had an awesome time. He enjoyed himself and being around other people. I did have the opportunity to try the meal but that wasn't necessary. They did home-style meals, so if they had gravy, it was made from scratch. They also have times when they had special moments where they ordered pizza out or something like that for the residents. They asked them, the residents had a choice, and they ordered out for their special day."

"My husband is now at Seasons Personal Care Home. It's assisted care, but it is also memory care. It is small, personal, warm, and caring. The staff are dedicated and compassionate. I've tried their food and it's very good. Activities are good. They have exercise, coloring, gardening, and some spiritual activities. It has a courtyard. It's small and it doesn't have a lot of amenities, but it is loving and caring. It's an older facility and they're building a new one. They can improve by having more activities and larger facilities."

"My sister stayed at La Vita Bella for nine days. I highly recommend them. It's listed as an assisted living, but it's more of a personal care home. Everyone there is very good to the residents. At that time, they had 14 rooms, and they were private rooms. They're very caring. They have activities for the residents if they want to do them. I was impressed with it. It's a house that they built on to, and it's owned by a nurse. It's beautifully decorated. Their staff is very attentive, very caring, and very personal. It's just a calm atmosphere."

"My husband is a resident of Orchard Park at Victory Lakes. I was looking for a community that could meet his special needs. He is in advanced dementia, but he still has a lot of cognition, and he's mobile. I wanted a spacious community with nice walking paths, and this one did, and it also provided more diversion for him. He does participate in some of the activities. They have a spacious living area where the residents can get together and do different things, such as watching TV, playing games, or whatever. They do have entertainment from time to time because I've been there where there was a music group. He does have a personal caregiver to help him. They allow outside personal caregivers to be in. He does have a small private room. It's the smallest private room, but it's adequate space for him to move around, even when he wants to use his walker. The shower area is inside the room, and it's nice and safe. It's also big enough to get wheelchairs in if it ever comes to where he needs one. It's neat and clean, so I'm satisfied with his room."
