I am staying at Methodist Hospital Texsan for rehab. I like it because it's not really a big hospital. All the people here have been so attentive. The staff has been very nice. When I needed assistance, I didn't have to wait very long. They're always checking and monitoring you. They ask if there's anything you need or refilling your water. They're really good about helping you. The physical therapy has been really good too; they're a little bit more aggressive to help you get back on your feet. I really do like it, everybody's been really nice. The staff are very caring, very nice and polite, friendly, and also make sure that you're doing the right precautions as you recuperate. They're really good at explaining things and assisting you. They serve three meals a day, the food is good, and it's tasty. They give you a menu and it shows you what you're going to have Monday through Sunday. If there's something that you don't want to eat or you don't like, you could call the kitchen and tell them what you prefer to have, so they have an alternate menu as well. They have somebody come every day to clean. They have housekeeping and they come and pick up all your linens. I'm in a private room, so they always change my linens. They give me extra towels and extra blankets. They clean up the bathroom and the shower, all the surfaces, really well. They encourage you to go and walk in the halls, and to do your exercises that PT has given you. You get one day a week of rest from physical therapy. They do physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We do have a TV in our room that we can watch, but they don't have any other activities that we could go to. I take naps, it's very quiet. It's a good environment to rest and relax, so that you can get back on your feet. My health insurance is covering it all, I haven't had to pay anything out of pocket.
