My mom moved into Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park. It's been very good, I'm very happy, and she is too. They're still quarantined, everybody that lives there including the staff had their vaccine given, the last shot is coming up shortly, and they're gonna start relaxing some of the restrictions, but continuing to observe most of it until things get better. They get three meals a day, she can do video calls, house cleaning once a week, she's got a washer and dryer in her apartment, and they have social times, bridge clubs, rummikub clubs, regular cards, game boards, they do exercises, and they also have happy hour. That's a pretty full service, and we're very happy. It's very close to where we live, it's like four miles away, and there's a hospital half a mile away. It's a very good value, and it's actually less than everybody else.

The Residence at Legacy Park Granbury was excellent. I love the place, that's why I chose it. They had their gymnasium, and they had planned out things to do on certain days. During my visit, Robin showed me around and chose my space. I think I'm going to enjoy living there. There were several ladies doing things around the main area. It's close to my daughter, and it's kind of in the country, and it's real quiet. It's everything I would want. Robin was very helpful. The facilities were all beautiful.

My father is a resident of Mount Pleasant Senior Living at Carolina Park. It's been really great, all the staff from the front desk to the managers, sales people, maintenance staff, and restaurant staff do a good job. They do a good job connecting with the family, and helping with the transition. They have a really family oriented community as far as the caregivers. The food is great. They do daily activities, skill building activities like puzzles, activities like milkshake mondays, things that get them involved with each other, as well as making them feel independent. They go on trips, they take them shopping, and to restaurants once in a while.

Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park was wonderful. The meals and staff members were above average. Everything was beautiful. It's the best layout I've ever seen for memory care, but it's a little pricey. The rooms were very nice and very well laid out. They had studios and shared rooms. I like that if the wife or the husband progresses more and one of them needs to be moved to memory care, they don't have to go into the memory care unit. They can stay where they're at with their wife or husband and they will get the same care because the rooms are up to code for both types of care. The only problem is they're understaffed.
