I was welcomed by a very friendly house administrator. She gave me a tour of the home which was immaculately clean and neat. The bathroom was very roomy allowing for wheelchair accessibility. The show was also a wheelchair accessible one with a seat for patients who are unable to stand. I was very impressed with the size of the rooms for patients. Each person has his or her own private room and possessions. I noticed the two patients at this house had a variety of things in their rooms that they enjoyed for their own personal activities. I was able to observe a music therapy session for a young blind MHMR patient. She was wailing along with the sound of the guitar and singer doing the therapy with her. She sounded very happy. Every staff member I met was friendly and cordial. I truly believe this facility focuses on providing faith-based support and a structured environment for its MHMR patients. Any patient living in one of these homes would be fortunate to receive the sincere care and loving assistance that these caretakers provide.
