I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This place is the upmost worse. They leave their patients to sit there and practically die. neglect. how does one get so sick that they have the flu, pneumonia, and a collapsed lung. not once did this place notify anyone that she was sick, or being transported to the hospital. I do not recommend you send your family here unless you are wanting the worse for them. She will not be returning here after being released from the hospital, and you will have a lot more to deal with than just some sick patients.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My grandfather has been a long term resident in this facility for about 3 years now and we love it. He has been treated wonderful by all staff, has made many friends with the other residents, and is always complimenting on the food! Great place for rehab or long term needs!

I visited this facility

Hanover Hall was homey. I would feel very comfortable if my father went there. They have everything that we would want to have available for him. The rooms were a good size, homey, and you can bring your own chair, TV, and pictures of your family to make it feel like you are still at home. The dining rom has tables that are round and you can communicate with people because you aren't that far away from them. The food was delicious. They have a terrace that's glass enclosed with screening for both warm and cool weather. The view was very nice and the gardens outside were exquisite.

My mother was a resident of Hanover hall in 2011. She was always treated with the utmost respect and care. The staff showed so much compassion to our family during her stay and at the time of her death. Much thanks to them

I visited this facility

I went to visit a friend and this place was absolutely the worst place imaginable. The staff is unfriendly and unwilling to help. My friend hadn't had her sheets changed in 3 weeks. She hadn't been showered in god only knows how long. The room mate was just as dirty and complained about the same. I took food in and I am so glad I did because what they brought them to eat was unfit for anyone. I immediately got a hold of family and they are going to try and get them out of there. We're calling anyone and everyone we can to get this place shutdown!! They have to wait hours for pain meds and unless they want to risk falling have to wait to use the bathroom. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN OR CLEAN IT UP AND TREAT THE PATIENTS RIGHT!!!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandmother was discharged from the hospital and was sent to Hanover Hall for rehabilitation. Everything is doing really great. The staff engage her into a lot of social activities because she has dementia. The facility is clean, her room is fine, and she's happy there.

Hanover Hall is overall pretty nice. The staff is always friendly and willing to help the residents and their families. The staff always makes sure that the residents are comfortable and keep them busy with different daily activities such as music and playing games. Hanover Hall also promotes "Pet Therapy" which they allow a company to bring in different types of animals such as dogs and cats. The residents seem to respond very well to this form of therapy. It seems to bring joy and comfort to them. Overall Hanover Hall is wonderful

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The nursing staff is, of course, one of the most important parts of a nursing home and they are spectacular and Hanover Hall. Every nurse that I have come in contact with has been responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. When an issue has been raised about my grandfather's care, it has been promptly addressed. The administration, however, is a slightly different story. It was recently suggested that my grandfather be moved to a different floor. Despite our constant confirmations that his longer bed (he is a very tall man) would be moved with him, on the day of the move that did not happen. He was needlessly tired out from the move only to be moved directly back when a family member questioned why he was so cramped. The facilities seem to be adequate. They are not immaculate and they are certainly not as state of the art as I have seen in other facilities. I appreciate the fact that they have regularly scheduled information sessions for family, but their planned activities for residents are a bit lacking. All in all, Hanover Hall is an okay place for those that need either temporary or long term nursing home care, but, given my experiences, it would not be my first choice.
