My mom is at The Addison of Lowrie Place. The people are very friendly. It's clean, and I like the fact that it's all on one level. They're very helpful. They seem to do a very good job taking care of her, so I'm very happy with them. However, it seems that there is not quite enough of them there, and that they're working long shifts. I haven't heard anything bad about the food. They have libraries, they have a patio, and they have an area for community activities. They're all nice things. Every day they have activities. They have games, exercise programs, and music. Last week they had Strawberry Social because it was National Strawberry Day. They also have activities collecting things. They have a director and all she does is activities for the people. We haven't participated in any of their activities, but they have them and everybody seems to participate. Compared to the other two facilities I toured, I thought the value for the money was good. I have three siblings, and this one is close to all of us in terms of location.

Our Mother has been there for a few years now. The first few years were great. When the facility was bought out is when things went downhill. The heater in her bathroom has not functioned for 5 months. We have to clean her room due to a staffing shortage. Today when I went to give her her shower dirty clothes where hanging all over the safety bar, and in the shower. She had no toilet paper and her bathroom trash had not been emptied. We get a runaround about pricing. Every month the pricing is different (usually higher). We were told she is a Legacy Resident and the credited her account $1200.00 for 1 month. Now it has gone up again the additional $1200.00. Unless you are willing to help out with your loved ones care I would look else where. The staff is great, but greatly overwhelmed. This is a management issue.

I am a resident of Lowrie Place. The food is good. Everybody has a private room and that's what I like. As for the value, it's way overpriced. My room has a normal size for one person.

My parents moved here. It's a great place, very friendly. The food looks good. It smells really good. They have bingo, and they bring entertainment in and stuff. The room was a five, the layout of it, and when we moved the furniture in, it was roomy and that just worked well. They have a general area for crafts and stuff. They have an outdoor area, like a patio.

I have visited and I was very impressed. The atmosphere and the staff is the real big deal about it. I like the way it's constructed, the privacy that's also incorporated with that construction, and the cleanliness. I like the fact that my mom is going to wear a monitor of sorts, or like a watch that would have alerted the staff, had she mistakenly gone through a door that would have led her into an unsafe situation. The dining area offered a lot of choices as far as food selection. The rooms were adequate, it looks very comfortable and homey, and offered the opportunity for personal items to be brought in. They had activity centers, puzzles, a coloring station, people talk at different activities. Social-wise that would have afforded my mum more social opportunities than to be staying at home.

My stepfather is staying here. Everything is really nice. The staff is quite excellent. They talk and explain everything to you. The place is topnotch. They keep it very clean. The bills are very good and punctual. Overall, it is a great place for my stepfather. I definitely would recommend them. They have live entertainment come in and they sing gospel songs. Yesterday, they were participating in Wii bowling. They also have a St. Patrick's Day party and a Valentine's Day party.

They're very friendly and very helpful here. They seemed to help my father in anything he needs, and pretty much everything has been good. I don't have any complaints. It's a nice place, and it has nice rooms and dining area.
