"I liked it a lot. It was nice looking, and the town itself was very nice. The staff seemed like very good people. The rooms were fine, and Mom would have had a private room in memory care. "

"I toured The Seasons of Saxonburg for my friend. It seemed to have a hospital type atmosphere, not a homey atmosphere. The place was clean, and the people seemed OK. They were going to put her in with a 100 year old lady that couldn't hear and that didn't sit with me. The rooms were nice. I just saw people in the lobby watching TV."

"My mom is at Elmcroft of Chippewa, and it's been great. I can't go in the rooms because of COVID, so I don't know anything about the inside, but my mother seems to like her room very much. We're not allowed in; we're only able to visit outside to talk to her. From the outside it looks very nice. It's a large room, and it's furnished, but we brought our own bed. She likes the food. The staff has been wonderful and very easy to work with. The nurses on her floor are very kind and responsive, and they communicate well."

"It's never easy to see a loved one loose their independence and have to go live in a specialized care facility like this. But I think this nursing home offer a lot of nice ammentities for residents with the dining room and chapel. I love that they have an old dog in the visiting room and they decorate for the holidays and have a little gift shop. The residents can play games and win credits for the gift shop, which keeps my grandma spry and willing to get out of her bed and down to the common areas. It's not a perfect place, sometimes mistakes are made with the medication and there isn't someone to help each person with their meals (my grandma has Parkinson's and it is very hard for her to cut up food and get it to her mouth). but I would never leave my grandma in a place where I wouldn't feel comfortable staying, and I think this place is pretty good. The rooms are very small for people navigating wheel chairs, but the layout of the other rooms is good. I really admire the people who work here. They always seem pleasant, chipper, and willing to help, and my grandma has really bonded with a few of them. "

"The decision to move my Dad to assisted living was most difficult. He had been fiercely independent his entire life and I felt we were taking all of his dignity from him. Once my Mother died in December of 2015 he became more diminished and overwhelmed while living in his own home and I knew that he was at risk. After numerous falls and trips to the ED and hospital I placed him in a facility near his home and he continued to deteriorate and finally became so ill that he had to be hospitalized with sepsis. My Dad had been neglected. It was then that I visited Franciscan Manor and met with Rex and Melissa and they introduced me to their beautiful, gracious facility. Dad was discharged from the hospital before we had all arrangements finalized yet they arranged temporary quarters for him until his permanent room was ready. He is now settled into his lovely room with furnishings and pictures from home and he is doing very well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and quickly responds to any questions or concerns I may have. My six siblings live all across the country and when they visit I am proud to take them to the Manor and they agree that Dad is thriving there. He will be 90 years old this month and I am so grateful that he is living in a place where he has peace and dignity and his needs are met with compassion and caring. And so I give 5 stars to lovely Franciscan Manor and all who work there and thank God for the peace of mind that their expertise and caring give to me and my family. "

"I was at Home 2 Me a couple of times. It was very nice. What perked me up about the whole place was that it was clean and bright, and ideas were well organized. I didn’t have time to spend that much time with the people who provided care, but everyone has been very pleasant. "

"Last time I was there the room was not clean.spider webs and spider eggs around the inside of the window. Laura was the best. She really cared. She went far above her job to care for my friend. I wish I could remember the name of a couple other people there with the same attitude. I hope they’re still there. "

"Grove Manor is a nursing home with an assisted living side, which my friend has now relocated to. He wants to stay there because of the physical therapy team that is there. They are highly rated and renowned in the area for providing really good physical therapy services. It’s not really convenient for me, but for people who are living in the Mercer, Franklin, and Northern Lawrence County area, it would probably be fine, and it’s not hard to find either. He hates the food because it’s rather bland. The pricing is pretty good. The nurses are fine, the physical therapists are fine, and it’s a clean facility, but he just moved into the assisted living side and the air conditioner broke the first day. "

"I went to Newhaven Court at Clearview. It is very nice. So far the staff is very nice. We're just in the process of trying to get my mom moved in so there's a lot of things that we haven't gotten to see yet. It is very, very clean, close to home, and just a very clean environment."

"My mom is at The Addison of Lowrie Place. The people are very friendly. It's clean, and I like the fact that it's all on one level. They're very helpful. They seem to do a very good job taking care of her, so I'm very happy with them. However, it seems that there is not quite enough of them there, and that they're working long shifts. I haven't heard anything bad about the food. They have libraries, they have a patio, and they have an area for community activities. They're all nice things. Every day they have activities. They have games, exercise programs, and music. Last week they had Strawberry Social because it was National Strawberry Day. They also have activities collecting things. They have a director and all she does is activities for the people. We haven't participated in any of their activities, but they have them and everybody seems to participate. Compared to the other two facilities I toured, I thought the value for the money was good. I have three siblings, and this one is close to all of us in terms of location."

"My mother was a resident of Carriage Court. It used to be called Carriage Manor. It was a beautiful place, but once the new owners took over it went downhill, and we pulled our mom out of there. All the staff interacted with the patients and they sat around and talked, so I can't complain about the staff. With the new management, they took the common areas and made them into bedrooms so when you came to visit you had nowhere to go to get a little bit of privacy. They had a really good activities director but they got rid of her. They said that my mom needed to be on a pureed diet. We had various tests that said she didn't have to be in it, but they still said she had to be on it. It got to the point where all the residents just had their heads down and were sleeping all the time."

"This is a beautiful, family focused facility. All of the staff that I have been in contact with are caring and seem to truly enjoy their job. There are many opportunites for socializing from the libraries to gamerooms and out door facilities. Many clients have their own rooms which allows for privacy and a sense of security. A wonderful variety of meals are provided and the activities are endless. "

"My Uncle was at Southpoint Personal care in New Castle and I can't say enough good things about the place and the people who took care of him. At first it was a hard transition for him, but he made friends with the others and really enjoyed all of the activities that the had. The place was always neat and clean. "

"The director at Jameson Place was very knowledgeable. She gave me a tour of the entire facility and explained how things worked. Everything was super clean. Every time a resident leaves, everything is fully refurbished and renovated. The facility was very nice. My father thought it was beautiful and said that when it was time, that's where he would like to go. Their meals are all homemade. They have a couple of alternate menus, in case the residents don't want what's being served that day. They also have a full refrigerator stocked and a pantry stocked in case the residents get hungry or skipped a meal. It's just at their disposal whenever they want it, which I thought was very, very nice. The rooms were very nice. The 1-bedroom was what we were interested in and it was bigger than I thought it would be. It was actually the size of a small apartment. The kitchen area was just enough for someone who doesn't have access to cooking. The living area was enough to set up an actual living room. The closet space was very nice, so he could bring some mementos with him if he wanted to. The cleanliness was spotless, but the facilities were a little dated."

"My mother went to respite care at Quality Life Services. The staff was very nice. I didn't try the food, but she ate well there. They had activities. It's an older building. It wasn't as nice, but I didn't have any problems with her care. She did really well there. The facility wasn't terrible, but it was older and worn-out looking. They were a little more expensive because I think they're classified as a nursing home, but as far as nursing homes go, I think it's fair. I know they're cheaper than some of the others in the area."
