"My grandfather spent some time at white cliff and recently passed away there. The staff was truly amazing! I'd give them 5 out of 5 stars! Heidi is a beautiful compassionate nurse! I knocked a star of because the building facade and the food both need a little work. "

"We've moved my mother to The Pines at Grove Manor. The staff is very helpful, the facility was very clean, open, and welcoming. It's a very nice facility. The room that we saw, I wouldn't call it spacious, but it's adequate. There's enough space for her bed, she's in double occupancy, and the rooms are clean and spacious. They have a beauty salon, and crafts room, there's got a chapel there, they offer more stuff for the patients to do. They've got a physical therapist, an occupational therapist, and a speech therapist on staff. They've also got a gym where they do physical therapy in the facility. They have several patios, and a couple of them have like water sprays and bird feeders. There are one or two covered patios so that you can sit even if it's raining outside. The staff answered all of my questions."

"We took a tour of Orchard Manor and talked to the administrator to put my mother-in-law on a waiting list in case we would need it. The staff was helpful. "

"My father was a resident under hospice care for a week before his passing. The staff were incredible! Each person I came into contact was kind, compassionate and caring. They were quick to respond our many requests to keep him comfortable during his final days. A sad occasion was more bearable."

"My sister moved to St. Paul's Senior Living Community. The staff is excellent. They are very attentive and the ratio of staff to patients is very good. The memory care facility has only ten patients in it right now, and they typically have between three or four nurses on staff. They have an excellent kitchen right on the floor just down the hall from the patient room. The food is very good. The kitchen staff is very attentive. They help patients get the food and help service them if they want. If they are not able to go to the dining area, they'll bring the food to the room. They encourage all the patients to go to join them for the activities. They don't force them to go but they strongly encourage them to go out and be with other people. They play games and puzzles. The facility is extremely clean and very well-kept. The grounds are very large and have lots of greenery."

"I will have to admit, when I first visited my grandfather at the facility, I had terrible images running through my head. As I made my to the front door, I was greeted by a smiling face which instantly caused me to lower my guard! My grandfather was not always the easiest person to get along with, but after watching the way the staff catered to his every need, I was more than just taken back! They (the staff and nurses) really seemed to care. They even offered me dinner when I was there! I think another reason O'Brien Healthcare was so nice was due to the amount of windows they had! A lot of daylight could be seen and I think that helps ones mood when it comes to helping the ill. "

"I was a patient at the care center. I was there for rehabilitation after a total knee. The staff, nurses and aides were friendly, caring and respectful towards me The rooms were clean. Granted they were short staffed but they got the job done. The food that I received was pretty good. I had physical therapy every day while there. They may have pushed me to do my very best but had they not done that I wouldn't be where I am now. Very thankful that they did. The activities director made it a point to stop by my room and introduce herself to me and provided me with a schedule of upcoming activities. I enjoyed talking with all who work there. I'm very thankful that I could do my rehab there with them. "

"My mother was a short term patient in the fall of 2015 after suffering a heart attack and open heart surgery. The staff were absolutely amazing and the nursing care was excellent. All her personal needs were met, her room was cleaned daily, and she liked the food. She became close with so many of the staff members and was able to go back home within four weeks. "

"My husband is in Haven Convalescent Home. I'm very pleased with it. They're short-staffed, but they are doing it. My husband is receiving excellent care. The rooms are clean and taken care of. I really have no complaints. Their staff are actually working extra to help get through this. If you ask for something, you may wait a few extra minutes because of being short staffed, but you get what you need. I have no complaints. The place is clean. The grounds are very nice outside. They have areas for the patients and the family to visit outside with shelter away from the sun. They have tables, and they have bird feeders for the patients to watch the birds. The parking lot is kept clear, and the sidewalks are kept clear. They do a fantastic job. They decorate for each holiday. The patients receive gifts for each holiday. I would recommend it highly. It is a small facility. It is not a really big facility, but I have come across no staff that I do not see compassionate and caring. They have a very caring and compassionate staff, and the owner sees to that. My husband has no complaints with the food. He eats well. They have a big lunch, a small dinner, a snack, and breakfast. They can basically get a snack anytime they ask, and they can get something to drink anytime they ask. The food is quite adequate. If they don't like what they get, they will gladly give them something else. I'm just glad that's where my husband is at. It's convenient for me. He is clean, and he is well groomed. I'm happy he is there, not that I want him in a nursing, but I'm glad that's where he is at."

"Within the period of the last two years, a friend of mine asked me to visit his aging father in the nursing home. I simply went to visit to encourage the older gentleman, and to show him that he was cared about and important to others. Upon arriving at the facility, I entered a clean and organized lobby area, with signs pointing me in the direction of the patient's room. The lobby and hallways seemed clean and organized. There were no noticeable foul odors or stains and such in the areas that I travelled to the patient's room. The staff looked busy and attentive, noticed me, but did not question my presence in the building. Having worked at a good nursing home for about 6 months, back in the 80's, I thought that this nursing facility compared favorably. Arriving at the patient's room, everything seemed to be in order. The patient looked well cared for, not disshevelled, and seemed content. The patient's room looked normal. The patient did not complain to me about the staff or any other matter. I would consider using this nursing home, if I knew someone that needed the homes services. I must admit, I did not do a THOROUGH inspection. I simply made observation in the course of a normal visit to one of the home's patients. "

"My mom was at Avalon Nursing Center. They had a problem. The pipes froze and it was very cold in there, so we ended up taking my mom out a few days early. They were also having trouble getting staff, but it was around Christmas. My mom got a shared room. There were two rooms, and in between was a shared bath, so four people used one bath, which made it a little difficult for them to get to the bathroom when they needed it. The therapy was good though. The interaction with the staff was difficult because they were in charge of so many rooms, so I didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the staff. My mom was satisfied other than the bathroom setup."
