"I have a preference because my mom was in one for four years. It is Shepherd of the Valley in Warren. It is very nice. In a lot of places the food is terrible. I have a brother-in-law in one where he wants out of there as soon as he can get out because the food was lousy, but the food in Shepherd of the Valley is always good. The room is very nice. I am satisfied with their program. "

"I had a family member live here until she passed away. Her quality of life in the end was amazing. She had so many friends and attended so many activities. The activities were phenomenal especially the Second Wind Dreams that the facility held for the different people. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking of how happy she was. The Shepherd of the Valley staff always made us feel like family and were always kind. You can tell they they are truly their because they care."

"My mother is in Quality Life Services in Grove City. It's kinda hard because I haven't been able to be there and I'm not allowed to visit, but they have been good to us. My mother has moved in on the Monday after Christmas. The staff is wonderful. It has been a lot more difficult on their end because there's a lot of things I would like to do for her, but I just can't because I'm not allowed in, so they have been going above and beyond to make her comfortable. She has an apartment, and she has a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, a big walk-in closet, and her own bathroom. There are only three independent living apartments, the rest are assisted living, personal care or nursing home. They typically have activities, but right now, they're pretty much on lockdown. They're not doing much because they're afraid of getting Covid. My mother is not allowed to do anything until tomorrow because she has to be in quarantine for two weeks. Tomorrow is her first day out of quarantine. They're not having anything planned right now, but they have exercise and she can go down to the physical therapy room where there's exercise equipment and things like that. Once she does that, she could share with me what she's allowed to do. It's an older facility, but it is nice."

"Adams Place was a wonderful place, but I don't qualify financially. I'm over their limit. It's a really nice community. It's not an over 55 place. Most of the residents were seniors. What I liked about this place was those seniors are retired, and aren't working, and many of them were gathered in a community room downstairsall talking and seemed to be having a nice time. The amenities were totally different. There's no swimming pool, there's no sauna, but they have a greenhouse and raised beds. This is formed community and most of those people there are farmers' wives, so they can still do their planting and their gardening. They have a room filled with all canning supplies. They have a small workout room where you can go and get on a treadmill. It's right in the heart of town, and it's walkable to a grocery store. The staff were very friendly, nice people. There was only one room that was empty and that I got to see. It was clean and it looked brand new. The carpets were clean. Everything about it was clean and sparkling."
