I lived at Golden Oaks before for one and a half years. I liked the people, and the activities were OK. The maintenance did not keep up appearance. It’s a huge complex with only 2 guys to take care of the yard, so I had to do the yard work myself. The cottages were good, but old. They offered food, but you have to pay for it, and it was poor and cold. Once or twice a week they had a good meal, but the evening meals were awful. There had a library, indoor heated pool, hot tub, exercise room, and somebody came in to sing, but the appearance was unacceptable.

I moved into Golden Oaks. It's a very nice place. I have a very nice apartment and the food is good. They have a swimming pool, exercise room, beauty shop, and all kinds of activities like art classes, bingo, dominoes, and they go to Walmart. The staff is very nice.

Golden Oaks was very nice. I enjoyed the location. It had a little pond there if you want to go fishing. The rooms were very nice. The residents seemed very pleased. They had free transportation for the residents if they want to go out.
