I put dad in Heritage Park. It's a dump. It's just really old and run-down, and there's no place for you to sit and visit with them. My daddy died 2 months ago. He was only there less than a couple of months. He loved the food. The food was good. It looked dirty just because it was all run-down. But the bathroom was always clean and it never smelled bad, so I'm sure it was clean. They would do sing-alongs in the morning. One of the nurses would play old songs on the piano, and they would all sing along. The staff was very nice. I guess that's what I liked best. I never felt comfortable visiting the facility. I felt like I was in the way.
