I went to look at Portland Place. I liked the quietness of this facility. I enjoyed the cleanliness. The staff was impressive and very informative. It was an ideal place to live. They have televisions to watch, all the utilities to pay, three meals a day, internet, and all the modern conveniences. They have to log in and log out.

My relative is in Portland Place. They have activities like family nights and bingo. They take them on bus trips. It is pretty well rounded. They serve three meals a day, and they serve whatever they want whenever they want it. The staff is doing a pretty good job. They take her to the doctor's appointments when needed. They people in there seem to care and try to keep their needs met.

The community feels like home...very inviting. My mother loves the food which is served like a fine dining restaurant. She is not one to participate in much but there are plenty to choose from. At any time of day you can find residents in the main living/dining rooms playing cards, doing puzzles or chair yoga or enjoying a game of trivia or a social hour. It is wonderful for those with memory/ dementia as it is a rectangle with courtyard in middle so no matter where they wonder they will come back to main area. The front door requires a code to enter. And all other doors are fire doors
