The staff is warm and welcoming- often going out of their way to make my family member comfortable. Half of the building is dedicated to memory care and it has an apartment feel with colorful doors that help residents identify their rooms and shadow boxes with photos of loved ones and interests. The memory care wing has 2 dining rooms and is secured with a coded door. A private courtyard off the wing is also secured- I often see employees chaperone walks and gardening in the spring and summer. I highly recommend this nursing home!

LTC Matters

Facility does not provide resident driven care. When addressing quality of life issues and/or safety issues staff are resistant, provide poor excuses, develop poor interventions that put residents overall safety and well being at risk and reduces quality of life. This facility should be used as an example of how NOT to run a nursing home. I would encourage Genesis Health Care to get out of the nursing home industry entirely because they don't know what they are doing and have no interest in trying to improve the lives of the elderly and frail.

Perrysburg Care and Rehab is a very comfortable place to be in. It is very easy to navigate your way around and if you have any trouble finding where you need to go or if you look lost the staff almost immediately notices and will point you in the right direction. The facility is very clean and tidy as well as the public restrooms. The patients there have a wonderful sense of humor as well as the staff. While in Perrysburg Care and Rehab you'll be greeted with smiles from the staff and the patients making you feel welcome which I personally admire. You might even make friends with a few of the patients as they are very friendly and social. The staff treats the patients there very good as well. I've never heard of a staff member not knowing who a patient is or forgetting their name. Which leads me to believe that they hire only the best and caring individuals. I definitely recommend this facility to anyone who has a family member that needs special care as Perrysburg Care and Rehab will make them feel right at home.
