"My mother is currently a resident at Maplewood at Twinsburg. We are very pleased with her care! The staff members at Maplewood are always kind and helpful. It is truly a warm and caring community that feels like family. My mom loves all the daily activities and seems to rarely be alone in her room. She goes to exercise class every morning. She also enjoys doing craft projects. She attends history and current event discussions, cooking demonstrations, and lots of fun socials. She loves traveling on outings with Allie the activities director and a small group of friends. Allie has great ideas for new and interesting places to go. They have so much fun together! Allie is funny and helps everyone to enjoy exploring NE Ohio! The nurses are great also and give very personal attention to each resident. Nurse Tammy gently cared for my mother and kept me informed on a daily basis when my mother was ill recently with a virus. I felt confident that my mom was getting excellent care! Of course, Maplewood is furnished beautifully and is always kept quite clean. The food is delicious and nicely presented at meal time. "My dad has been living in The Gardens at Liberty Park for seven months now. It's a relaxed community. It's budget-friendly, too. Everybody there is nice. We love the nurses. The food is okay. My dad's not a huge fan of everything that they cook, but he's pretty picky. Other than that, everybody's been nice, and they take good care of him. He has a nice big room, too. It's a studio, but it's private. I've eaten there a couple of times, and the food is pretty good. With regards to activities, they do all sorts of things like exercise, and they do little outings where they take them to Walmart, out to lunch, or to get ice cream. They also do little scenic rides. My dad likes those things. I think they're very good value. They take really good care of my dad, and we appreciate everything they do."

"I visited Mulberry Gardens Senior Living. Everything is assisted living there, and it was gorgeous. I liked everything about it. The people were super nice and helpful, and there was a lot of space. The rooms were also beautiful and very spacious. I saw their dining area, and it was also very spacious, especially for people in wheelchairs. The staff who assisted me was wonderful. Some people were doing activities like crafts. They also had porches outside where they could sit and enjoy the weather. Anybody who goes there would love it."

"My sister is going back to Cardinal Retirement Village. She had an apartment there, and that's where she was when she fell and broke her ankle. It was very nice, though. It seemed to be well-managed. The rooms were nice. She was only there for a little over a month before she broke her ankle. They only asked for a three-month contract lease, and after three months, it's month-to-month, so that's a nice feature for them. Not having somebody sign a long-term lease is a good idea. The residents were very friendly, and the staff were very friendly, too. I think my sister said they usually have choices of what you get for your meals. With her only being there for four weeks and the experiences she had, I think she said the meals were good. The apartments were clean. Originally, she had a studio apartment, which was just one room with a kitchen area and a bath. What they have available now is a one-bedroom apartment, which is much bigger than the studio. She didn't like the studio because it was kind of small. My sister participated in some activities. They had bingo and other activities, but I'm not sure what they were. They were giving her a discount on her room, so that was a plus. The value seemed to be the standard value, but when I compared it to other places, they were slightly lower."

"My sister had been ill and her dementia had worsened. We had secured an apartment at Maplewood but feared that she was too weak to be transferred there. I called Maplewood’s Director of Admissions to tell her of the situation. She informed me that she would handle everything. Two days later, my sister was transferred to Maplewood Cuyahoga Falls. The nursing staff just enveloped her. Kate, Director of Nursing helped us coordinate her care and nurses, Hallie and Megan were attentive, kind and supportive, as were the many aides that were assigned to her overtime. She was up and dressed every day. She was taken to activities and meals. I (or another sister) was there daily. We saw the kindness and compassion that was shown to everyone who lived there by ALL the staff. That thoughtfulness was also shown to us. My sister was blessed to live there for the last three weeks of her life. Thanks to Maplewood, she had a dignified and peaceful death. Our family was treated with extreme kindness, care and love. If looking for a care facility, look no further. The facility itself is beautiful. The rooms are large and cheerful, the food delicious and staff knowledgeable and supportive. I am grateful for Maplewood and recommend this affordable option for all memory care individuals. Maplewood staff was a blessing to our family. May God bless them in their work."

"I toured Summit Point. It was clean and very organized. The staff was beautiful, answered all the questions, and even told us things that I probably would have forgotten to ask. They were very nice. The rooms were beautiful. They have help buttons all over if you need a hand. They had a shuttle service and they did group things as far as grocery stores and people wanting to go to the grocery store. Every Monday they went to a different grocery store. They put a calendar out. There was a lot for them to do. I've seen the dining area. It was beautiful. They had linens on the tables. They put out a menu, and if you didn't want what they had on the menu, they had an alternative menu for you to eat off of. They had like a little coffee shop there that you can get your coffee. You can do all-day coffee. And then they had a little grab-and go-section with snacks and whatnot. I thought that was beautiful."

"Summit Corners has very good customer service. They also have very good facilities that are kept up well. It's a beautiful setting/environment. There was one room, and I took some pictures of it. It's not too bad. It's a little bit small, but it has a big closet. It's private, so I like that my mom would not have to have a roommate, and that's a plus. It's more like a home instead of like a regular nursing home. I didn't try out the food, but the staff member who gave me the tour says it's very good. It sounded good from the menu, and the staff says she eats it herself."

"We have chosen to go to Mulberry Gardens Memory Care. I like the fact that it is a self-contained building that deals with nothing but memory care. It's beautiful and local. It's very convenient to me, just 10 minutes away. I've heard good reviews from other people, and I had a walk-through and interview with them. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and open to any questions that I had. They even made some suggestions for me. It was very clean, very open, and well taken care of."

"The staff. Every one of the staff and wait people go out if their way for the residents. I love the activities and bus trips and being able to go out to eat especially being in a wheelchair. I love my apartment, it’s spacious and I love the storage on my patio. We have the best parties, Mother’s Day, picnics, and every holiday! I love it here"

"I toured Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls. It was a little bit more money than the other place. The staff was great. They were very friendly. The only room they had left on my second visit seemed like in an area that could be congested at mealtimes and stuff like that. We just didn't have the feel for it as much as we did at the other place. They had some beautiful gardens that they took residents out to. There were different areas where there's like baby dolls and a crib and they can dress the babies. There were old-fashioned typewriters and old-fashioned telephones. They have vanities set up so that the women could put some jewelry on and those type of things. And I saw them reading to them, which was nice. I think it would be a nice place to recommend."

"Independent Village Aurora Ohio is a great choice for our mother. She is cared for in a well-maintained facility. She has been there three years and enjoys her apartment. She has made friends and been involved in the activities. It is the right place, at the right time for her and definitely recommend."

"Kentridge Senior Living was a very nice place. They have activities, and sometimes they have somebody who comes in and plays the piano. They have a little book club, you can choose to sit with the knitting club, and they have a gardening club, too. They have a little fireplace where people sit around and talk. The people and the patients there interact with each other. They have a very nice dining area. The apartments they showed me were also very nice. The person who showed me around was very nice and helpful."

"My grandmother has been at Danbury Tallmadge since January 2023. The memory care area is amazing. The residents have their own private rooms to make it more homey. There are appropriate activities for everyone to enjoy. The food is great and there are options to satisfy everyone. They put in a lot of time and thought to celebrate holidays and celebrations with decorations and menus. There has been some turnover but that is typical in the industry. The nurses and aides are wonderful. They have gotten to know my grandmother- her likes and dislikes and they are kind and compassionate. Our family is grateful for the enrichment Danbury has provided."
