"HealthSouth has a good program. They require around three hours of therapy -- it's different times of therapy -- and, of course, they get the patients up in the morning and would like for them to go to the dining room to have their meals. Their visitors can go in there and they can eat a meal. They have a computer there where you can order the food and where you can go and eat with the patient. It is a good facility. "

"My dad was sent there after his knee surgery for a week. In that week he asked for his pain meds and they were never brought to him. The next time he requested his meds he had to go and get them himself because again they were not brought to him. When he was able to get up he asked for a towl so he could bathe and they said they didn't have any towls for 2 days so he had to dry with the paper towlels they have hanging above the sink. He asked for ice water and none was ever deleivered. I would not put a dog in that place. They are the worst."

"Woodmont center in Fredericksburg, VA is absolutely one of the nicest facilities I have been in. I had the opportunity to visit the facility three weeks ago, and during those weeks I visited I really got to see how well the individuals who live there are taken care of. First of all, the CNA's that they have staffed really do care about their residents who they serve. I noticed that the resident that I was visiting was well taken care of. She does not have any skin breakdown, she seemed to be well nourished and groomed. Her room was always clean and smelled fresh each time I came their. My concern with Woodmont and many other facilities I've been in they seem to always be under staffed. The hall that I visited had about 50-60 people working with only two CNA's per hall and one nurse on each hall. I really think that these long term facilities should really invest more money on having much more help considering how much profit they make. "

"My mother-in-law was in Carriage Hill Health and Rehab, and they did everything fine. The nursing was great, and they were very supportive and attentive. Everything there was nice and clean. She mainly did rehab. They have very clean facilities and honest people."

"I frequent this facility picking up specimen for medical purposes. They are very clean, smells pleasant and to the public they are very nice and accommodating. I will say behind the scenes the nurses can be a little rude at times. I have heard them shout at the elderly for trying to get out of their wheel chairs when trying to seat on a couch. Often when I go in I hear small voices coming from rooms with alarms going off asking for help, once I notify someone I get a response of "yes, we know." Some of the patients seem upset as they can sometimes be ignored, but overall they are receiving very good care compared to other facilities in the area. "

"My mother is at Berea Health and Rehab in Fredericksburg, and I think it's a very nice place. The nurses are professional and courteous. They don't do X-rays on the premises, though. They have to order for someone to come in to do X-rays, and that takes longer. Other than that, I don't see any other problems with the area at all. I think it's an excellent place to go. They have rooms with two residents, and they also have single ones. They have facilities where you can get your hair washed, the bathrooms are nice and large, and the rooms are kept very clean. The housekeeping comes every day. For activities, they have bingo and all sorts of games. They keep the residents very active, and I am impressed. I've seen other places, so I can make a comparison with the cleanliness and the attentiveness of the nurses. They come right away to help out as much as they can, and I can't find anything to complain about them."
