"While only there for a brief visit, the staff seemed very friendly. They helped us out when trying to locate my aunt, who was in the rec room playing bingo. They tried to get us to go in and play with her but we did not want to interupt the game. When we were visiting with her, the staff always had a joke when they would walk by us. It is a clean facility and they have a very nice courtyard for the residents to go sit out on when it is nice out. "

"We were at Warren Manor a total of three weeks this past month. My mother was there before she went where she is now. The care was adequate. Everything was clean and functional. I don't have anything bad to say about them. I was not allowed to go inside, so I was limited to looking through the window. The staff was fine; I didn't have any issues with the staff. My mother was served meals there and I don't think she had any complaints."

"My mother was placed at Absolut Care of Westfield a couple of times for rehab. The facility seemed not very modern, but clean. Most of the staff seemed friendly, but some probably should be in a different field of work. The administration was very good and helpful whenever I called. For my mom's care, it was below average. The first time in March, it was good and better than I had hoped, though not perfect, but this time, it was not very good at all. I think they were short-staffed because one of the wards was closed to COVID, and I know a lot of the nurses were home. There were single and double rooms and each room had its own bathroom, but not a shower. The food was not quite so good. I know on the calendar they had movie days, they had bingo days, and one time they had a dance demonstration when she was there in March. Each day, they had one thing. The facility was not bad, but not stellar."

"Cory Manor was full, and there's a waiting list. They're still short on staff. It's not great, but it's better than others. I understand it's hard to get staff members in nursing homes. The rooms are nice. They just redid the facility, and it's clean. "

Chautauqua Adult Day Care’s Mission is to provide a program of services for frail or impaired older adults in a secure group setting, enhancing quality of life, delaying institutionalization and providing respite for caregivers.Chautauqua Adult Day Care Centers Inc. is a not for profit United Way agency, which offers affordable Senior Day Programs for adults sixty years of age and older who live in the community. The agency has four sites that serve all of Chautauqua County. The programs provide socialization and offer many opportunities for older adults to participate in activities during the day in a caring, friendly atmosphere with supportive staff and companionship. The sites provide breakfast, snack, and a noon time meal for participants. There is also a Community Recreation Program that helps persons participate in outings in the community. The sites also offer pet therapy, ceramics, music programs, arts and crafts, and much more on an ongoing basis. Additionally, a Saturday Program is available in Jamestown. "My husband was at Chautauqua Rehabilitation And Nursing Center for rehab. It was owned by our county, but then it was privatized and a different company took over. Things seemed to have changed since they took over. It was not as good as it used to be. It was a shame because a lot of people are housed there for the rest of their lives. The food wasn't too bad; however, a lot of times the residents didn't get what they ordered. A lot of the staff was very good. For the most part, their attitude was average, but I had to get somebody to assist my husband in whatever needs he had. There was one nurse that should have sent my husband to the hospital because he had a 105 temperature. He almost went septic on me because he wasn't given the attention that he needed right away. Another thing with the PT guy that was there: he was supposed to bump into my husband to try and make him fall to see if he could get his balance. In one of these exercises, my husband did fall and the guy pulled him up with a strap that they had around him and it caused a big hematoma."

"My husband stayed in Absolut Center. It's old, and it didn't appear to be as well taken care of as the other facilities. The building and the rooms were very small. There were barely two beds in the rooms. The dining set-up was nice though. My husband enjoyed coming out to eat, and he loved the food. The people were very nice. They seemed to be very caring. I dealt more with the PT people. They were super nice; however, they didn't have a big enough space for the residents. Nevertheless, they did the best they could with what they had."
